I am an Ecologist by training. My research interests have focused on : Relations between protected areas and local communities; Wildlife conservation; Community Building; Environmental governance ; Conflict management ; Climate change.
My focus is on using modern marketing practices and technology to amplify the impact of sustainable businesses and conservation organizations. I have a unique blend of experience as both a field biologist and as a marketer for mission-based businesses and nonprofits.
I'm looking to grow my network and new opportunities to learn, teach, and collaborate so that we can continue to make this planet a more livable place for all species. I'm especially interested in the intersection of tech and wildlife conservation, and would love to initiate conversations with others in that space.
I am a wildlife veterinarian specializing in great apes and monkeys but I also enjoy working with elephants, cobras and a variety of other endangered species. I traveled regularly between rescue and rehabilitation centers in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the United States. I mentor new veterinarians and teach at St. George's University of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean. I have a Masters in Veterinary Epidemiology from University College London with my thesis being done with ZSL regarding the endangered red squirrels of Great Britain.
I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
