About Jessica Arnull

PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, researching the susceptibility and sensitivity of coral reefs and seagrass to the impacts of nitrogen pollution, with fieldwork based mostly in Maldives as part of the South Asian Nitrogen Hub. I'm is especially interested in how nature-based solutions can be used to help support marine conservation and coastal livelihood adaptations against the climate emergency. I have a keen interest in experimental fieldwork associated with coastal biogeochemistry and ecology. I completed my undergraduate in Geography at the University of Bristol and have an MSc in Marine Systems and Policies from the University of Edinburgh. I am also a qualified secondary school Geography teacher and education is a core value of what I do.  My research to date has taken me to many regions around the world including Mozambique Channel, Indian Ocean, and Australia
