My work explores human nature through our relationship with the natural world. I believe stories are a way to create empathy — a way to experience the lives of others, human and non-human, and reflect on our place in the world. I started my career as a marine biologist, driven by a desire to understand nature. Over time, I discovered that storytelling could connect people with science, landscapes and cultures in powerful ways. That curiosity led me to filmmaking. Since then, I have spent years traveling and working across Colombia and Latin America documenting stories about nature, culture and human behavior, combining science, exploration and storytelling through film, photography and new creative tools. In addition to my creative work, I collaborate with international productions as a field producer and fixer in Colombia, supporting documentary teams, journalists and academic research projects working in the region. I have worked with production teams and universities from countries such as Austria and the Netherlands, helping them navigate logistics, locations, research and cultural context in complex field environments. Throughout my career I have participated in documentary and communication projects as writer, director, cinematographer and editor, with productions screened in cinemas in Colombia and broadcast on television networks such as Discovery Channel and national channels. I have also collaborated with environmental and conservation organizations including World Wide Fund for Nature and The Nature Conservancy, contributing to projects related to conservation, science communication and environmental storytelling. My work is driven by curiosity about how humans understand and interact with the natural world, and by a commitment to creating stories that inspire curiosity and reflection. I’m always interested in collaborating on projects related to documentary storytelling, science communication, exploration and field production in Latin America.
