I'm a biodiversity consultant working mainly in the corporate space. I work with large companies to help them figure out their nature-related impacts, dependancies, risks and opportunities, then use this information to create biodiversity strategies.

Marine Futures Intern, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, The Crown Estate, Ørsted and Natural England
I'm currently working with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, The Crown Estate, Ørsted and Natural England as a Marine Futures Intern. I returned to the UK in 2020 after working in Alderney for a year as the Ramsar Officer for Alderney Wildlife Trust, responsible for leading the Ramsar Programme for the island's marine Ramsar site; home to two gannet colonies, breeding puffins, guillemots, gulls and grey seals etc. I was involved in everything from project management, ecological surveys, research (my favourite projects researched the impact of anthropogenic materials (mainly plastic fishing line) on gannets), events and, engaging and advising the government. Prior to this I worked as a Research Assistant in Seville and gained a qualification in European Community Development. I graduated with a BSc in Environmental Science in 2017.
Hi all! I became a member of the SOS-UK team in March 2022 as a Project Officer, and more recently I became a biodiversity project coordinator supporting with the delivery of Hedgehog Friendly Campus. The project is a BHPS-funded national biodiversity program for the educational sector, which offers free support to staff and students to make impactful changes for wild hedgehogs. I am also a regular volunteer that fosters underweight hedgehogs for local rescues.
I graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2021 with a BA(Hons) in Architecture. My favourite project mainly focused on integrating conservation and biodiversity plans to develop a positive relationship between the built environment and nature, ultimately diminishing barriers for wildlife in urban areas. I vow to one day help create richer habitats and protect threatened ecosystems through the use of design to create a balanced environment for both humans and wildlife.
Outside of work, I love exploring nature trails and fuelling my graphic design flair. I also enjoy reading, gardening, photography and buying more plants than I have room for but that probably won’t stop me from buying them...
I'm currently a MSc Student at the University of Exeter Cornwall studying Conservation & Biodiversity. I studied at the University of Kent for 3 years where I completed my undergraduate degree in Wildlife Conservation.
My hobbies include photography, exploring new places, and interior design. I love learning and expanding my knowledge of the conservation world! This is something I've always been passionate about and hope to continue as a career.
Hello! I'm Katie and I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam. I help to deliver a number of workshops with WildTeam, including the Project Management for Wildlife Conservation course. I love meeting course participants from all over the world, and learning about the amazing projects that they are working on or would like to in the future.
I am also working as a postdoctoral researcher at Bournemouth University, as a continuation of my PhD project which focussed on African elephant conservation. I've been lucky enough to travel to lots of places for my work and engage with a range of stakeholders. I also love science communication which has lead me to meet and work with lots of amazing people through public engagement, outreach events and social media.
