My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022.
I am a Malawian, a graduate from the University of Malawi, a passionate young climate activist, a founder and executive director of a nascent environmental leadership organization, Resilient-Gen. I have profound experience in community mobilization, community engagement not to mention resource mobilization. I love all things green!!
As Dr. Calista, I've practiced veterinary care for over a decade, focusing on small animals. My passion for pangolin conservation spans five years, where I've dedicated myself to safeguarding these gentle creatures. At Saintmarks Animal Rescue Foundation, I merge my expertise in veterinary medicine with wildlife protection. My journey, from healing paws to defending pangolins, is a testament to our duty to preserve nature's wonders.
I hold a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Community Development from Moi University. I have a long history of working with the community and engaging them with alternative livelihoods projects that are echo friendly and sustainable. My interest is just working with the communities in finding solutions in the ever-changing environment.
Hi, my background is in website design and digital marketing but my interests have always been in animal welfare, sustainability and conservation. Recently I have been looking for opportunities to transfer the skills I have into the conservation and ecology sectors. The resources and information at WildTeam seem to offer the development pathway I have been looking for.
Hi
I am phani, I am doing research on affects of climate change on financial institutes/Banking sector. Here I wants to highlight the risks of climate change and their financial implications.
Before that I am M.Sc. Zoology and involved in nature and wild life conservation activities.
My love for nature fuels my passion for Wildlife Conservation. I have experience in Wildlife Crime law, policies and capacity building for stakeholders in the wildlife conservation field. The WildHub community is a great platform to network, create and grow career and life transformative partnerships and gain skills on how to best address the Illegal Wildlife Trade global menace through proper project planning, management and governance.
Hello there! :)
I'm on this page in this hub because I want to learn from and interact with the people who care as much about nature as I do!
