I also worked on thematic programs such as natural resources conservation especailly seagrass and coral habitat, coastal resilience, community development, and market system development for poor.
Recently completed a Heritage lottery fund project, Guardians of the Deep, promoting Kent's marine habitat and focused on connecting the public with the coast and its wildlife and heritage.
I am a workaholic but maybe that's because I love the jobs I have had since graduating. Now unemployed I am now looking to progress up the ladder, wanting to take on more responsibility and hope to move into a managerial role.
Identifying innovative approaches and improved solutions to business challenges both motivate and drive me. Observation, inspiration, and determination are my foundation for success. My philosophy is that introducing fresh perspectives and new techniques allow businesses to evolve and grow. My goal is to remain on the cutting-edge of advancements.
I lead the Local Government Association's Coastal Special Interest Group and I am proud to be a Trustee of the UK's Marine Conservation Society, co-author of the model #Motion4theOcean Ocean Recovery declaration for local authorities and winner of a national Rising Star Award for my work for England's coast and its communities. I have a strong track-record in the development of pioneering projects that work towards better access to, and stewardship of, our ocean. To date, I have secured over £5.6m in funding for inclusive conservation and engagement projects. For this work, I was named as a global "30 under 30" for environmental education in 2020.

Marine Futures Intern, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, The Crown Estate, Ørsted and Natural England
I'm currently working with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, The Crown Estate, Ørsted and Natural England as a Marine Futures Intern. I returned to the UK in 2020 after working in Alderney for a year as the Ramsar Officer for Alderney Wildlife Trust, responsible for leading the Ramsar Programme for the island's marine Ramsar site; home to two gannet colonies, breeding puffins, guillemots, gulls and grey seals etc. I was involved in everything from project management, ecological surveys, research (my favourite projects researched the impact of anthropogenic materials (mainly plastic fishing line) on gannets), events and, engaging and advising the government. Prior to this I worked as a Research Assistant in Seville and gained a qualification in European Community Development. I graduated with a BSc in Environmental Science in 2017.
Marine biologist, governance and conservation specialist / conservation planning / Social and environmental entrepreneur
I'm a marine ecologist passionate about communication and engaging local communities in shifting towards environmental sustainability. Looking forward to expand my career from academia to work at a wildlife conservation organization. I believe the wildhub community is a good place to get inspired. PhD in Animal Science. Experience in teaching, advanced statistics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), sampling and identification of estuarine and marine fauna (plankton, macroinvertebrates and fish), stable isotope analysis and otolith microstructure. I enjoy working in an international environment where I can continuously learn and apply my broad set of skills ranging from research, teaching, communication, and languages.
I joined Wildhub because I was told about it and given the link through a Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) Alumni meeting (online). I am always interested to learn more about our amazing blue planet, including its biodiversity and how we can conserve it. My main focus is on marine research and conservation in the Sulawesi region of Indonesia. I am using my private email because the inbox of my institutional email is very small.
