Martha Muir (She/Her)

MSc Student, Royal Veterinary College/Zoological Society of London

About Martha Muir

I am seeking a role in science communication or engagement. I am a naturally sociable and friendly individual with an enthusiasm for wildlife conservation and research.

I hold a MSc in Wild Animal Biology from the Royal Veterinary College/Zoological Society of London where I achieved a Distinction (73.0), as well as a First-Class BSc in Zoology from the University of Leeds. My MSc allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge of wildlife disease and conservation in a practical setting. This included assisting with post-mortem investigations of several species, being part of the Deer and Antelope team at Whipsnade Zoo, and completed a post-release assessment of rehabilitated hedgehogs.

I believe both my degrees have equipped me with extensive research and communication skills, in particular my MSc thesis where I explored hindlimb injuries in Western European hedgehogs across Great Britain using post-mortem data.
