I am a recent graduate from the Wildlife Research and Training Institute, with a passion for conservation and a diverse set of skills honed through hands-on experience.  During my attachment program at Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park and my volunteer work with Reefolution Trust, I have gained invaluable expertise in:  Coral Restoration: Engaging in coral planting, nursery maintenance, and out-planting to rejuvenate marine ecosystems. Marine Debris Cleanups: Organizing and participating in cleanups to protect our oceans. Community Engagement: Facilitating group discussions and outreach programs to foster local involvement in conservation efforts. Data Collection and Entry: Gathering and managing data crucial for research and conservation projects. Human-Wildlife Conflict Resolution: Developing strategies to mitigate conflicts between humans and wildlife.  My interests are deeply rooted in:  Wildlife Protection: Advocating for and implementing measures to safeguard endangered species. Environmental Education: Sharing knowledge and raising awareness through my Twitter (X) page. Habitat Restoration: Participating in projects aimed at restoring damaged ecosystems. Community Engagement: Collaborating with local communities to develop sustainable conservation strategies. Policy and Advocacy: Working on policies to support and enhance conservation efforts.  While I currently possess a broad range of skills, I am eager to specialize further and make a significant impact in the conservation community. Being part of the Wild Hub would provide me with the perfect opportunity to refine my expertise and contribute meaningfully to global conservation efforts.  

I am an ambitious biomedical professional with expertise in neglected zoonotic diseases and One Health. I hold a DVM and an MS from Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Bangladesh. I am interested in coordinating multistakeholder-engaged field activities, particularly to advocate sustainable social welfare and support developing policies related to public health. Hi, every one, am very excited final to be with you, i work for  one of conservation organisation Fauna and Flora in South Sudan since 2017 to date,  my position Program officer and community liaison. I love to work with public, stakeholder, local community leaders to do awareness on nature protection for us and generation to come. briefly South Sudan is rich in biodiversity, there are a lot of new spices not yet identified.  am happy to be for this training  because it is going to enlightening me to do my work effectively. Hi! I am a recent graduate, currently working as a research assistant Trainee to the Wildlife Biologist in the Forestry Division Wildlife Section of Trinidad and Tobago. I joined WildHub because I believe it would be a great stepping stone in my future career in Conservation where I can meet others with diverse experiences. I look forward to forming partnerships and taking the courses available to make me much more employable in this field I am passionate about.   I have explored multiple fields while preparing for my career in this sector including but not limited to Wildlife Rehabilitation, Bioacoustics, Remote Sensing and CITES. Currently I am a Trinidad and Tobago BioBlitz Committee Member, I am also assisting with the analysis of acoustic data in a BioReach Project for the Environmental Management Authority on the Trinidad Piping Guan.   

I am currently enrolled in the Wildlife Project Management for Conservation course. I am excited to be part of this training and to enhance my skills in wildlife conservation and project management. I work as a Wildlife Crime Investigator with the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) attached FCS Uganda  where I am involved in investigating wildlife-related crimes, protecting endangered species, and supporting conservation efforts throughout Uganda. My role has provided me with practical experience in conservation law enforcement and a deep understanding of the challenges faced in protecting wildlife. However, I am eager to further develop my knowledge and skills in the broader field of conservation management, especially in relation to project planning, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable conservation practices. I am looking forward to learning from both the course content and my fellow participants, as I believe this will help me better contribute to UWA’s ongoing efforts in wildlife protection and conservation. Damas has MSc in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Water Resources and Environment Management from University of Twenty in Netherlands, is a well-trained Civil & Water Resources Engineer and Environment Expert. his expertise lies in areas of Hydrological Modeling, WASH, community-based natural resources management, institutional strengthening, GIS and Remote Sensing, governance, Integrated Water Resources Management, Climate Change, Environmental Impact Assessment, Payment for Ecosystem Services, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Development of Land use and Forest Management plans, Stakeholders engagement in development process and Resources mobilization, Forest Landscape Restoration, Wetland mapping and monitoring, Project Monitoring and Evaluation and Design of hydro-meteorological monitoring stations. He possesses 12 years of progressive practical experience in the Water and Conservation sector in Tanzania. He has hands-on experience in planning, designing, managing, and executing Water Resources Management Projects as well as Conservation Programs. Damas has worked with various organizations including the Ministry of Water in Tanzania as Hydrologist he was involved in the development of Integrated Water Resources Development and Management Plan (IWRMDP) of the Lake Nyasa Basin Water Board, Songwe River Basin Management Plan (SRBMP), He has also been working with African Wildlife Foundation (AWF-International Conservation Organization) coordinating water resources management programs, and he is currently working with WWF as Program Executant WASH and IWRM. He is mainly responsible with coordination and delivery of Mara River Catchment Conservation (MRC) Project (USAID funded Project) and Mara Wetland Conservation Project (WetCoP) in the Serengeti - Mara sub-landscape of the Southern Kenya – Northern Tanzania (SOKNOT) Landscape.

I have experience working in international and intergovernmental settings with an environmental focus, as well as supporting conservation projects through fieldwork, including biomonitoring activities.
