Seeking Advice on PhD Pathways in Conservation and Environmental Governance (Australia)

Hello everyone, I’m currently exploring PhD opportunities in Australia focused on coastal and marine conservation governance. My work to date has been in Sri Lanka, where I’ve been involved in biodiversity conservation initiatives at the intersection of environmental governance, community engagement, and applied conservation practice. As I navigate potential supervisors and research directions, I would really appreciate connecting with others who have pursued (or are currently pursuing) PhDs in conservation, geography, environmental governance, or related social–ecological fields in Australia. Any advice on programmes, supervisors, or funding pathways would be very helpful.
