About Mr Jodocus Mordaunt

I am currently trying to get back into the conservation world but struggling to find any openings.

I am a Zoology graduate and focused on pollinator abundance and diversity along an urban gradient from the CBD to the agricultural outskirts of Leeds.

I have also spent time in Madagascar volunteering for a charity called SEED. During this time I undertook three daily surveys from transect walks as well as planting trees corridors to connect the multiplying forest fragments and sorting through guano, examining the seed species.

My most recent action for conservation was through a more creative side. I created a pop-up book concerning the rewilding of beavers into the UK. This was a way to encourage children and other tactile people to think and care about UK wildlife and the drastic effect one species can have on an ecosystem through trophic Cascades. This book included interactive tabs, fun vibrant characters and soft materials to engage the reader.
