I'm a primatologist and nonprofit leader with 15+ years experience in international wildlife conservation, mainly in Africa but most recently in Costa Rica. My superpower is building up grassroots efforts in order to effect positive change that benefits both endangered species and people. I'm passionate about working across cultures and empowering people of all ages to act for conservation. I was the first Executive Director for the Gorilla Rehabilitation and Conservation Education (GRACE) Center, an award-winning organization conserving Critically Endangered Grauer's gorillas in Democratic Republic of Congo. I have conducted field research on wild chimpanzees in Uganda and orangutans in Borneo and have a Ph.D. in Biological Anthropology from Harvard University.
