Reza is a passionate conservationist and anthropologist born and raised in small town in East java, Indonesia, and has over a decade of experience in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and release in Indonesia. He has managed rescue centers across Kalimantan, Java, and Sumatra. With a strong background in both hands-on wildlife care and conservation management, he ensures that rescued animals get the best possible chance to return to the wild. Beyond working with wildlife, Reza focuses on addressing human-wildlife conflicts, especially in communities living near protected habitats. His anthropology background helps him connect with local people, understand their perspectives, and find solutions that balance conservation efforts with community needs. Through outreach, education, and advocacy, he works to create long-term harmony between humans and wildlife. As a Coordinator of the AfA Sanctuaries and Rescue Centers Coalition (SARCC), Reza supports the work of SARCC and is establishig an network of rescue centers in Indonesia. By joining AfA, Reza hopes that the future of rescue centers in Indonesia and across Asia will improve in terms of both animal welfare and staff well-being.

I am a motivated, adaptable and responsible professional, with a diverse interdisciplinary background with expertise in veterinary sciences with a special emphasis on wildlife medicine, business development, and project management. I have over 18 years of experience in a wide range of working scenarios, with government, civil society and the private sector, across three different continents. This has helped me to develop good interpersonal and networking skills, especially within multi-stakeholder context, and a special capacity to handle sensitive political, cultural and religious issues with diplomacy. I consider myself a self-starter with a practical approach to problem-solving, passionate for sustainable development, from biodiversity conservation and ecosystem health, to gender equality.

I am a Venezuelan biologist who has done little fieldwork, mostly dedicated myself to teaching science in the past. Currently working for this NGO I have given the opportunity to support with fundraising for their various projects. It is exciting to be part of Provita's mission and fulfill my life's purpose. Graduated with a BA in International Business major and French minor in 2011 at Linfield University, Oregon, United States, and gained working experience abroad in marketing. In 2013, she started her career in financial investment while pursuing a second degree in Law Studies from Ho Chi Minh University of Law. Mai has joined Conservation Vietnam as the first staff member since May 2022. Her interest to participate in the reservation of Vietnam’s unique biodiversity for future generations is the key driver for her enthusiasm to support all stakeholders in the wildlife conservation sector.
