Hello everyone My name is Nyamni Bless Gur from Cameroon.  Passionate about protecting wildlife and restoring habitats, I work on the ground to monitor and assess great apes population and the threats they face, particularly the Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees and the Cross River Gorillas. I'm also passionate about conserving forests, and engaging local communities in our conservation efforts. I believe community based conservation practice is vital for a successful long-term management of these species. 

I am an enthusiastic and progressive conservation professional with over 15 years of experience in zoological institutions and conservation non-profits. I currently work as part of a unique partnership between the IUCN SSC and the Indianapolis Zoo as part of the Global Center for Species Survival. Throughout my career, I have focused on the role of zoos as conservation organizations, serving as a bridge between in situ and ex situ conservation. I am a firm supporter of the IUCN’s One Plan Approach to conservation. My range of experience provides a broad foundation to draw from and offers unique insights for problem-solving and partnership engagement. I have experience working for and with domestic and international conservation non-profits. My focus includes supporting the development of conservation skills, utilizing innovative tools, technologies, and approaches to tackle conservation challenges, and emphasizing the contributions of local communities to wildlife conservation. I strongly believe in the power of storytelling as a conservation tool. I am eager to connect with other conservationists and offer them support, skills, and training to aid in their ongoing work.

Je suis Capitaine Alassane Gueye, Ingénieur des Eaux et Forêts, Chasses, Adjoint à l’Inspecteur du service Régional des Eaux et Forêts de Kédougou. Je suis diplômé de l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agriculture(ENSA) de Thiès avec comme spécialité Foresterie et Environnement. Aprés cinq année en service à Kédougou(Senegal) en qualité d'adjoint à l'inspecteur régional des Eaux et Forêts, Chasses, je suis récemment  affecté dans la région de Kaolack pour poursuivre ma mission dans l'administration forestiére. Fort de plusieurs années d’expérience dans la région de Kédougou en suivi-évaluation, en études d’impact environnemental et en gestion des ressources naturelles, je suis convaincu que mon expertise peut contribuer efficacement aux objectifs environnementaux et sociaux de votre entreprise. Mon parcours m’a permis de développer une expertise approfondie en gestion environnementale, en suivi des écosystèmes, ainsi qu’en évaluation des impacts des projets miniers sur l’environnement et les communautés locales. J’ai notamment travaillé sur des projets de reboisement, de suivi des mangroves et de gestion intégrée des zones humides, en lien avec les principes du développement durable et des normes internationales. Mon expérience en suivi-évaluation me confère une capacité analytique et méthodologique avérée, essentielle pour assurer un suivi rigoureux des indicateurs de performance environnementale et sociale. Je maîtrise les outils de cartographie SIG et de télédétection, indispensables pour l’évaluation et le suivi des transformations du paysage dans un contexte d’exploitation minière.  Motivé, rigoureux et doté d’un excellent esprit d’équipe, je suis prêt à m’investir pleinement dans vos projets et à relever les défis environnementaux liés à vos activités. As an Environmental Management Inspector (EMI) , I, among other things, assure the protection of natural resources by properly and soundly applying NEMA, EIA, rules, and principles. Furthermore, I conduct compliance monitoring and enforcement with mandatory regulations, including proactive compliance inspections of game holding facilities for both private and public institutions. I also examine huge corporations and facilities ( Industrial e.t.c ). In addition, I perform reactive inspections. I participate in criminal investigations for environmental offences that are then brought to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for evaluation and, if necessary, prosecution.

Mr. Paudel currently serves as a senior program manager at Bird Conservation Nepal. He has over fourteen years of experience in bird and biodiversity conservation, fundraising, project planning and implementation, and engaging with local communities to safeguard threatened bird species.

I am Fleur, based in the UK, and I am the WildHub Conservation Catalyst Programme Co-ordinator, supporting conservation professionals to develop their writing, communication, and leadership skills through this inclusive global platform. I hold a Master’s degree in Animal Behaviour from the University of Exeter and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University. My research background includes woodland butterflies and bumblebees, alongside a strong interest in woodland animals more broadly. I also have comprehensive knowledge and expertise in domestic rabbits and their welfare and care. Alongside my work in conservation, I am the founder of Your Own Mum (https://www.yourownmum.co.uk/), a resource space and weekly journal supporting mothers navigating parenthood without maternal support or a traditional family network. This work draws on my background in psychology and my passion for creating thoughtful, compassionate spaces that help people feel less isolated and more understood. I am deeply passionate about wildlife conservation, animal welfare, and meaningful communication - particularly where it brings people together on shared paths.

I'm a recently graduated wildlife biologist having varied interests in the fields of Illegal wildlife trade, Human-Wildlife Conflict and Conserving species through In-situ and Ex-situ Management practices.

My research focus is the cultural and utilitarian ways rural communities value wildlife with a focus on endangered apes in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I used mixed methods including doing interviews with community members and reconnaissance walks in adjacent village forests. My goal is to work for a conservation organization that partners with communities to find conservation solutions and implement initiatives that benefit both people and animals relevant to the local context. 

An explorer and an aspirant biodiversity conservation researcher. I seek to delve deeper into the study of the human-nature nexus and strive to foster more harmonious coexistence. I have gained brief experience in wildlife conservation at the Creative Conservation Alliance, working with Western Hoolock Gibbons and a few other wild animals. I am also working as an Associate Trainer at Mekateam, a game-based pedagogy where I provide training on basic climate literacy and biodiversity conservation to youth. Moreover, I synthesize and express my understanding of biodiversity and the natural world through my initiative, 'Toru.' Currently, I am undertaking research on Asian Elephants addressing the human-elephant conflict in Bangladesh.
