With training in wildlife conservation and community development, my expertise lies in community engagement works for conservation initiatives. I am interested in promoting community-based natural resources management (CBNRM) initiatives that address both environmental and socio-economic goals in communities that live close to protected areas and in connectivity pathways for long-ranged wild animals, with full participation of the resource custodians and users.
I am an experienced social-ecologist with 15 years of grounded experience in CBNRM-related work focusing on human-wildlife conflict management, establishing and empowering community-based organizations, and promotion of sustainable livelihoods projects in the Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Zambia (ZiMoZa) transboundary region, the South East Lowveld region of Zimbabwe, the Hwange Matetsi Zambezi ecosystem found in Kavango Zambezi (KAZA) TFCA and the Malawi – Zambia (MAZA) TFCA.

I am a third-year student at African Leadership University pursuing a Bachelor of Global Challenges degree, graduating in June 2024. I'm passionate about working in the environmental and wildlife conservation industry to use skills gained from my tertiary education and make a difference as a research professional. I previously worked as a research intern on Land use activities at ALU School of wildlife conservation. And I gained hands-on experience working with writing case studies, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and working and communicating professionally.

I live in Maputo, Mozambique. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Engineering and a Master's degree in Biodiversity Management and Conservation from the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering at Eduardo Mondlane University. Since 2019 I’ve been working as an Ecological Restoration Assistant in Elephant Coast Landscape, surround to the Maputo National Park. Therefore, I'd like to improve my skills to boost my conservation career. For this reason, I joined wildHub to gain training in Monitoring and Evaluation for Wildlife Conservation that will help me to Improve my performance in my current position and gain access to new opportunities. The wildHub community is also a good forum to expand my networking. My passions are in ecological restoration and conservation, ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change and ecosystem service and wellbeing.
