I have an interest in Invasive non native species and ecosystem restoration. I have experience with a range of software such as Vortex 10 Population Viability Analysis to both Arc and QGIS. I am currently a GIS and Data officer for a record center in mid Wales. Prior to this I have mainly been based in the UK working with various Wildlife Trusts and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee.  I have worked on projects in the Osa Peninsula (Costa Rica) across multiple taxa for monitoring and conservation. 

I am a  Postdoctoral researcher with the Arctic Genomics Project, focusing on the use of genomic tools to support wildlife conservation, food security, and Indigenous-led research in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions. My work lies at the intersection of conservation biology, climate change, and community-based approaches, with a strong emphasis on ethical and respectful collaboration with Indigenous Peoples.

I am pursing a MSc in Environment and Natural Resources, this adds to a BSc in Conservation Biology from Makerere University, Uganda, Certifications in Envivironmental and Social Framework, Red-List Ecosystem Assessments, Ecological Restoration, Plant Conservation, Scientific Research and Proposal writing, One Health Principles and Practices, Protected Areas Management in Africa, and many other professional training certificatations in the field of Leadership, Environment, conservation, Imapact Assessment, Climate change, among others. I have experience in Biodiversity assessment and Impact assessment, grants writing, planning and implementing conservation projects, organization leadership, incorporating climate change and conservation in development projects, among others. My research interests lie within Natural Resource Ecology, Environment and Social Governace, Climate Change and Climate Justice, One Health Approach, Human Environment Interactions, and Gender Inclusion

My work experience consists of 10 years in human resources in the corporate world, followed by 12 years in the nonprofit sector, in fundraising & development roles for social and then conservation organisations (intl and national level). Earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in organizational psychology in Romania, my home country. I have moved to the Netherlands with my family in 2023, and enjoy working for WWF International as Senior Specialist in the Global Conservation Division.

Since July 2025, I have been serving as the Community Advocates Coordinator at WildHub, where I coordinate initiatives to engage, support, and empower our community advocates in advancing WH’s mission. Beyond WildHub, I wear a few different hats. I work as a researcher and lecturer in Sweden, teaching courses on environmental law, political and historical ecology, and disaster risk management. I also mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, collaborate with faculty members, and contribute to ongoing research projects. I’m passionate about giving back through volunteer work. I support a few conservation and animal welfare organisations with research and advocacy to help drive positive change. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking forest trails with my dog or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I am a recent graduate from the Wildlife Research and Training Institute, with a passion for conservation and a diverse set of skills honed through hands-on experience.  During my attachment program at Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park and my volunteer work with Reefolution Trust, I have gained invaluable expertise in:  Coral Restoration: Engaging in coral planting, nursery maintenance, and out-planting to rejuvenate marine ecosystems. Marine Debris Cleanups: Organizing and participating in cleanups to protect our oceans. Community Engagement: Facilitating group discussions and outreach programs to foster local involvement in conservation efforts. Data Collection and Entry: Gathering and managing data crucial for research and conservation projects. Human-Wildlife Conflict Resolution: Developing strategies to mitigate conflicts between humans and wildlife.  My interests are deeply rooted in:  Wildlife Protection: Advocating for and implementing measures to safeguard endangered species. Environmental Education: Sharing knowledge and raising awareness through my Twitter (X) page. Habitat Restoration: Participating in projects aimed at restoring damaged ecosystems. Community Engagement: Collaborating with local communities to develop sustainable conservation strategies. Policy and Advocacy: Working on policies to support and enhance conservation efforts.  While I currently possess a broad range of skills, I am eager to specialize further and make a significant impact in the conservation community. I am a statistical ecologist and a wildlife biologist currently working with communities for community conservation. My work is driven by a belief that conservation thrives on collaboration. By uniting diverse voices and expertise, we can create innovative, sustainable solutions to protect habitats, empower communities, and safeguard endangered species. In addition to my research, I run Respite, a YouTube channel where I bring the wonders of wildlife, plants, and zoology to a wider audience. Through captivating and accessible content, I aim to inspire curiosity, foster a deeper connection with nature, and highlight the urgent need for biodiversity conservation in an increasingly fragile world.
