I'm currently serving as the director of biodiversity conservation association Biflores in the smallest inhabited island of the Cape Verdean archipelago - Brava. Our association works on the intersection of development and conservation of biodiversity, aiming to ensure a sustainable future for humans and non-humans on Brava.
I work on communications and learning with the Landscape Finance Lab to support teams working on large-scale landscape solutions. Providing access to conservation finance learning opportunities and hosting a platform for landscape teams to showcase their concepts and development process.
Hi. I’m the team leader and founder of Oceans Alive working with on the Kenya coast and our passionate team focusses of Community based natural resource management. We are presently working on the 270 km of the Kilifi County coastline and are working with the various Beach Management Units to set up Collaborative Managed Areas or all . Our journey continues as we upscale from the first LMMA that we set up as Kuruwitu Conservation and Welfare CBO in 2006
Debs has been working with schools and community groups for over 16 years. She is passionate about environmental, youth and well-being projects and has gained a great deal of experience in developing, funding, delivering and managing these areas while working with Groundwork Trusts between 2011 and 2018 as well as local authorities and youth and environmental charities.
