I’m an environmental professional with a demonstrated history of working with Non-Governmental organizations as well as governmental administrations.  Skilled in Project management, Natural resource management, Wildlife Conservation, Stakeholder collaboration, geospatial information system and improving local communities through alternative livelihoods combat poverty and strengthen food security.  Able to blend environmental projects and policy experience with research, trainings and socio economic study offering problem solving capabilities, encouraging macro management in managing large scale technical projects explaining technical concepts and efficiently achieve tasks and desired outcomes. I am a Coastal Fisheries practitioner working in Fiji. I have experience in the area of Ridge to Reef management supporting communities develop and implement Ecosystem Based Management plans. 

Salamatu Jidda – Fada, PhD. is a Nigerian born Conservation Scientist and Educator resident in Bangor Gwynedd, United Kingdom. She was a Research fellow with the Centre for Evidence Based Conservation, Bangor University, UK between 2016 -2018 and currently, a Visiting Researcher in the School of Natural Sciences, Bangor University, UK. Her current research involves establishing a Coalition of Conservationists in Nigeria to work as a collective in creating sustainable conservation interventions to protect Nigerian Biodiversity. She is also actively involved in Human – wildlife conflict/co-existence in Dadin Kowa, Nigeria among other things. Salamatu is appointed member Expert Assessment Group, IUCN Green list for Nigeria.
