About Vipin Kumar
I am an ecologist working in the field of biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration. My work involves planning and supervising restoration interventions across diverse ecosystems, including forests, grasslands, wetlands, savannas, and reed beds. I focus on site-based approaches such as invasive species removal, soil and vegetation monitoring, and implementing ecotype-specific planting strategies.
My academic and field experience spans a range of ecological themes, including ecotoxicology, soil ecology, water quality, plant invasion, plant metabolites, and palynology. I’m particularly interested in understanding how these components influence ecosystem recovery and using that knowledge to guide practical, context-driven restoration efforts.
Currently, I am engaged in a large-scale ecological restoration project with Auroville Botanical Services in Pune, India, where I’m closely involved in site execution and ecological supervision.
