Dear All,
The Lowland Tapir Conservation Initiative - LCTI-IPÊ has joined the Conservation NOW earlier this year! Although all difficulties we faced this year, such as the pandemic and the pantanal fires, we had an very optimistic news when Patricia Medici, LCTI coordinator, won the Gold Whitley Award! I invite you all for the online ceremony next Wednesday!
Our inspiring 2020 Whitley Award winners are working alongside communities to conserve our natural world at a critical moment.
On Wednesday 2 December they join us virtually from South Africa, Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya, Bhutan, and Brazil.
Hosted by WFN Ambassadors Tom Heap and Kate Humble, the night will feature the world premiere of films narrated by WFN Trustee Sir David Attenborough. It will also include a Q&A live from Brazil with Whitley Gold Award winner and tapir conservationist Patrícia Medici, as well as a special message from WFN Patron, HRH The Princess Royal.
We invite you to dress up, raise a glass and come together across continents, so we can applaud their extraordinary achievements in what has been an unprecedented year.
