Appointment to the PREZODE International Expert Committee
This appointment is part of the PEPR PREZODE program supported by France 2030, which brings together research institutions and global partners, including the World Health Organization, Food and Agriculture Organization, and United Nations Environment Programme, to strengthen efforts to prevent zoonotic disease emergence.
My work has largely focused on the wildlife–human interface and community health systems in conservation landscapes in Africa, where interactions between people, animals, and ecosystems are most evident. Through this role, I hope to contribute perspectives from grassroots conservation and community-based OneHealth practices to global conversations on pandemic prevention.
I am grateful to the mentors, colleagues, and communities that have shaped my journey in conservation and public health. Platforms like WildHub continue to play an important role in connecting practitioners working at the frontlines of conservation and health.
I would also be genuinely interested to learn from the WildHub community: how are you integrating One Health approaches into conservation practice in your landscapes?
