Hello, I’m Courtney
Hi everyone! My name is Courtney and I currently reside in Florida but discovered WildTeam while undertaking my masters in Zoo Conservation Biology based in Plymouth, UK in 2018-2019. Throughout the programme I really enjoyed project development and management based assessments and decided this is the career field I wish to follow and why I decided to take the PMWC course with WildTeam! I wish to gain more experience and further develop these skills and connect with other conservationists 😊
Some fun facts about me, I have visited over 20 zoos and aquariums between the US and U.K. I love visiting new zoos whenever I travel and my goal is to visit as many zoos and aquariums across the US and in other countries as I can. Widcats are always a favourite to see, but tigers and clouded leopards hold a special place in my heart due to personal experiences I have had with these species ❤️ I am also very passionate about wildlife photography!! I’ve included some of my favourite photography moments to share with all of you 😊
I am excited to start this course and get to know everyone!

Hi Courtney! I absolutely love this and your photos, it's lovely to virtually meet you! I would love to visit Florida's wildlife one day!
Thank you so much!! If you do get the chance to visit Florida I think best spot to see diverse wildlife is in the Everglades. It’s amazing!
Hello! Hope all is well in Florida. Cool photos and an impressive number of Zoos and aquariums. Ever thought about starting a website to write about your experience of all those places you've visited?!
I have actually!! I would love to share my experiences and the amazing education/conservation efforts zoos do but I am unsure about what kind of platform would be best and how to actually market it. Do you have any recommendations??
I'm not an expert, but I'd start with a website and promote that via social media, maybe Instagram would lend itself well as there would be lots of good photos you could use. I recently started a website and used bluehost and then wordpress. Marketing takes a while, but I think it is sometimes good to let these things grow organically and find your feet along the way.
