I am an educator seeking to career change into the world of conservation.
I have spent the last year working as Education Officer at a public garden, running forest school sessions and school trips. The gardens recently completed a biodiversity audit with some exciting results. I would like to use this time to develop a project that will improve the biodiversity in the surrounding areas.
I am also learning about the circular economy and am interested to hear how systems thinking might fit into the development of a conservation project.

Welcome Jane! Good to meet you this morning. I had a quick look at the Greater Dixter website - looks like a beautiful place.
Thank you. It is a very special place.
Hello Jane, lovely to have you on this training workshop. I am interested in circular economy and how it can have benefits for conservation, I have a couple of friends that work in that area, but I don't know much about it myself. I came across this inteteresting paper the other day, although I've only read the abstract https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0048969720321185
Hi Beth,
Thanks for the link. I have read the abstract and some interesting points made.
My pleasure :)
