Hi! Thank you for letting me join the community. My name is Malin Johansson and I'm writing my master thesis in biology about the role of equity in resolving conservation conflicts at Gothenburg University, Sweden. Next week I will go to Botucatu, Brazil for 3.5 months to work with the organisation CABI, as a part of my project for my thesis.
When I'm done with my studies I hope to work with conservation in some way since it really fascinates me. Currently, I work extra at Gothenburg University as a research assistant compiling and analysing data on reproduction in Southern dunlin, a shorebird that is on the verge of going extinct in Sweden. I love biology and looking forward to learning and sharing ideas with you.

A warm welcome to WildHub, Malin! Exciting times! How is your time in Brazil so far? Very interesting topic of research also - one that our community is highly interested in. Would you perhaps be willing to share a summary of your thesis results with the WildHub community, once you finish? Please also see our Contributor guidelines here for tips :)
Hi Thirza, Brazil is beyond amazing, I'm so grateful to be here!
Yes definitely, I'll happily post the results and a summary later on. Right now it looks like I will stay a bit longer in Brazil than initially planned but the goal is still to finish my thesis in June.
Great to hear you're having a good time in Brazil, Malin! Thanks in advance for sharing your results and summary at a later stage, much appreciated. Good luck with everything there!
