From the program description page:

Topics covered in this program include leadership, career navigation, negotiation, compassion fatigue and other aspects of leadership development.

This program is geared towards those that have some experience working in a field of animal welfare or animal care and are considering continuing in the field with a goal of entering a leadership position.
This program is open to all varieties of animal care positions. Examples of such positions include wildlife rehabilitator, animal caretaker, zookeeper, veterinary technician, and veterinarian. We will not be accepting volunteers in the field of animal care for this program; all participants must be actively employed in the field in order to participate.

The Leadership Development Program is 6 months in duration. A certificate of completion will be issued to participants that meet the attendance and participation criteria for the course.

The program fee is $150 for NWRA members, and $200 for non-members. Registration for the next cohort will begin in September of 2022. The first meeting for this cohort will take place in October of 2022. This cohort will then meet monthly through March of 2023.
