Junior Aquarist & Environmental Educator, Hastings Aquarium & The Curious Environmentalist
I am passionate about the world of conservation and education. I currently work as a Junior Aquarist at my local aquarium, whilst I complete my part-time degree in Environmental Studies. I run a website that highlights environmental and conservation issues and focuses on the importance of environmental education called The Curious Environmentalist. I have volunteering experience within the conservation sector including working on camera trap footage, working with reintroduced species in the UK and working to release and rehabilitate animals from the the tourist trade abroad. My long-term goal is to become a conservation communicator, spending my time learning, writing and giving talks about the work that is going on around the globe. For now, I want to learn from those that have come before me and keep gaining experience to hone my relevant skills and knowledge.
We are an international community of conservation professionals. We provide a space to exchange ideas, create new solutions, and make new partnerships to enable better, faster, and cheaper conservation that helps save more wildlife. We are a non-hierarchical friendly community of like-minded people, with similar values and different ideas. Our community is free to join and mainly for those currently working in the conservation sector, but it is open to anyone who feels that they can contribute in a meaningful way. Our community is member-led, meaning that members decide what to talk about, how to interact, and how to grow the community.
