Hi everyone,
I have recently signed up and wanted to introduce myself. Having just completed an MSc in NGO management I am looking to make a career move into wildlife conservation, although I haven't figured out in what type of job yet! I am currently a Trustee at Helping Rhinos but also love getting my hands dirty by mucking in at a number of volunteering experiences in Africa and Asia. My interest is primarily in working toward longer term systemic change and whilst I love to get close to nature, I also understand the importance of sitting around a table and proactively working to influence policy change for longer term benefits. I have just started the 'Grant Writing for Wildlife Conservation' course so may meet some of you over the coming weeks.
I currently work in the Corporate sector but am looking to make the change and am working towards a career change, particularly focusing on wildlife conservation. Alongside my trustee role at Helping Rhinos I have recently completed a Masters in NGO Management with a specialism in Grant Making & Philanthropy. Now I'm qualified I'm looking to expand my network alongside completing some Wildlife Conservation specific training.
