I am a wildlife film-maker and photographer from Kenya. Besides producing wildlife documentaries, we also publish coffee table books with Augmented Reality. I run a company in Kenya, and we are also fixers for foreign productions wanting to come and film in Kenya. Looking forward to networking and meeting new people, possibilities of working together and also find platforms to showcase our content. I am keen on sharing the little knowledge/ experience I have and also would like to learn from others.
Highly experienced in supporting policy and decision making through delivering data on marine species, coastal pollution, and water delivery on the local, state, and federal levels. Early in my career I took every opportunity I could to gain experience in marine mammal science from California to Quebec. These opportunities created strong connections eventually guiding me to researching plastic pollution while earning my masters degree. As I finished writing my thesis, I began working with NASA on projects using satellite imagery and big data to investigate drought, this experience immensely strengthened my project management, mapping, and analytical skills. Last year I ventured into conservation writing wanting to build on my science communication skills. I would be happy to feature your project or career journey as a blog post within WildHub, so feel free to reach out to set up a short chat/interview.
As Communications Manager for the World Cetacean Alliance, I develop communications materials and deliver campaigns to support the WCA in its valuable mission to protect whales, dolphins, porpoises and their habitats.
Previously, I was a Digital Communications volunteer with WildTeam UK, and worked as a designer in the digital learning industry for several years.
I'm based in Sheffield, UK, but work remotely.
Hedgehog Officer for the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, and BSc 1st class (Hons) Animal Behaviour & Wildlife Conservation graduate! I am obsessed with all things hedgehog, and my current role revolves around raising awareness about their decline, and how we can help them here in the UK. I also have a BTEC Level 3 in Animal Management where i learned alot about the more exotics side of wildlife, but with my native UK wildlife is truly where my heart lies. My first graduate job was as a recruiter for the Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife trusts, but my expertise truly lie with all things hedgehog, and i am learning loads of different valuable skills through my journey to help them!
