I am studying Marine Environmental Studies and Management at the University of Chittagong. I major was Marine Science. I am also an environmental activist. I volunteer in some organisations such as Blue-Green Foundation Bangladesh which is working for awareness for nature.
I'm a recent masters graduate from the University of York, where I studied Marine Environmental Management. Before that, I completed my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at Plymouth University. I am currently looking for work in marine management and conservation - my interests include sustainable fisheries management and social aspects of sustainable marine use as well as marine conservation. But I am open to all sorts of opportunities! My most recent project was undertaken in partnership with BAS, where I analysed GPS tracking data to assess rafting behaviour of Albatrosses around South Georgia.

I’m a wildlife conservation enthusiast and I’ve always been very passionate about nature and wildlife photography, with the aim of turning these two passions into a way of educating and raising awareness about conservation issues. My interests in the conservation field rely in the behavioural and ecological research, community-based conservation and human-wildlife conflict. Through various travelling experiences, I developed an intense fascination for the African continent, with its diverse culture and nature, particularly its incredible wildlife, all aspects that go hand in hand with my aspirations and interests.
I'm a Trustee of WildTeam UK - an organisation providing conservationists with the training and skills needed to design and deliver their projects. I am also Director of the Whitley Fund for Nature - a London-based charity offering conservation leaders across the Global South funding (Awards), training and profile boost.
Joins Wilmar International Ltd. as Biodiversity Assistant Manager (Sabah region) in October 2012. I manage and overlook the High Conservation Value (HCV) areas within Wilmar Sabah oil palm plantation and to oversee any matter related to conservation such as HCV Management, monitoring, wildlife survey, encroachment issues, training awareness, socialization and also research. My interest is managing on restoring the riparian reserve within oil palm plantation landscape.
I have worked in Further and Higher Education for most of my career. I have experience of project management, stakeholder management, business administration and process improvement. My last role was as a Research Student Manager looking after over 300 PhD computer science students. I decided to chase my dream of working in conservation when I had the opportunity to take voluntary redundancy...if not now, when? was finally the question that make me take the big scary jump. I'm really interested in rewilding, reintroducing species, habitat maintenance and general health of our world's wildlife and habitats. As a career switcher I have limited experience in conservation but have always been around animals and not afraid to get my hands dirty having worked on a farm when I was younger, and I'm keen horse rider. I am currently seeking local volunteer opportunities. Lock-down has obviously made things a bit harder to get as involved as I'd hoped, but am exploring the options that are available remotely.
