I have an environmental and agri background and have worked in Africa, Australia and the UK. I am interested in the interconnectedness between wildlife conservation and agriculture and regenerative agriculture specifically.
I am currently employed as a endangered species monitor in Zulu land, South Africa. I have had a variety of different field based jobs prior to this, after completing a BSc in Zoology. I want to gain skills and knowledge that will equip me to manage future projects. I love being in the field, as demanding as it can be. I focus mostly on carnivore conservation and am quite privileged to be situated on one of the oldest proclaimed reserves in Africa. My day to day routine consists of tracking and monitoring African wild dog packs, one of my favourite animals. I get to work and collaborate with other organisations that are all focused on saving endangered species. I enjoy photographing the wildlife I get to encounter as well as learning from others. I love the African bush life.
Hello, I am an aspiring social conservationist from Guyana (in South America). I like to dabble in research on human-wildlife conflict, perception and attitudinal studies and performance assessments. But I also am involved in wildlife monitoring and management.
My primary goal is to invest more in community development work to foster sustainable livelihoods in environmentally dependent communities.
Hi there! I am an anthropologist & primatologist with a deep love and admiration for the natural world. I am passionate about primate conservation, specifically gibbons, and focused both my MA and PhD research on the elusive & enchanting Javan gibbon, and worked in collaboration with colleagues from the Javan Gibbon Center in West Java in order to achieve this. My research comprised elements of social anthropology (qualitative interviews with local people in West Java & social network research on the illegal wildlife trade) and conservation biology (population viability modelling & behavioural observations) and addressed a range of conservation issues relevant to the highly endangered Javan gibbon. I have participated in three releases of Javan gibbons back to the wild, including the very first one in 2009! I am a member of the IUCN Section on Small Apes and participate in two working groups with the Malaysian Primatological Society developing a national action plan for Malaysian gibbons. After my experience working in the education departments at both the Oregon Zoo and now currently Edinburgh Zoo, I have become quite passionate about conservation education and hope to inspire the younger generation to love the natural world as much as I do!
I am a Conservation Biology student studying BSc Honours Degree in Biology. I have been actively involved in wildlife conservation practices doing field research education and training in local schools.
Hi!
I currently live in Malta but lived in London for 11 years where I did a Postgraduate degree in Protected Area & Conservation Management at Birkbeck University. I volunteered for a number of eNGOs there but mainly worked in admin jobs for various organisations. I returned to Malta 3 years ago and now work in Malta's largest protected area - Majjistral Park - as an Events Officer. I used to lead guided walks and organise other activities in the Park before Covid but now run regular online talks about environmental topics, online activities for kids and coordinate our volunteers.
I would like to work in a more conservation based role but am still looking for an opportunity to move into this. I am hoping this course will give me the ability to stand out with a valuable skill.
My general interests are nature (of course!), environmental conservation, hiking, reading, nature-based art, upcycling and yoga.
I am an undergraduate student at the Institute Of Forestry, Hetauda campus under Tribhuvan University with a keen interest in wildlife conservation and Ecology Study. Currently, I'm working as a student intern at Forest Research and Training Centre under the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Nepal as a part of my undergraduate research study. I'm also seeking for research assistantship for my masters.
