Hello everyone! My name is Elena and I'm an Italian Master's student, currently in Germany. I'm just now starting my first semester of a double-degree in International Nature Conservation, at Göttingen University (Germany) and Lincoln University (New Zealand). As you can see, it's a very interesting academic journey, aiming to give a wide perspective on conservation around the world. In order to do so, on my second semester I have to take part in a mandatory internship of my choosing. I'm free to pick any kind of organization or company in the world, as long as I take part in a project related to the conservation field.The internship has to be at least 12 weeks long and I'm available to start from the end of February, ideally for a period of 3-4 months. One important thing is that, as part of the university policy, I cannot get paid for working. I can however receive accommodation, which would still be very important for me. Do you have any leads on some interesting projects to follow? I'm interested in human-wildlife conflict prevention, wildlife monitoring and similar topics. Do you also know of any organization that could fund a similar activity?
