Hello! I'm Léa and I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam UK. I help create, design and deliver training courses. I love getting to know all the participants and learning from them :) Previously, I was working with BirdLife International on forest governance issues and in my previous life I worked in the development sector in the United States. Education-wise, I have studied economic development, international relations as well as tropical forestry in the past.  Hope to catch you in a WildHub social!

I'm a biodiversity consultant working mainly in the corporate space. I work with large companies to help them figure out their nature-related impacts, dependancies, risks and opportunities, then use this information to create biodiversity strategies.

Hi. I’m the team leader and founder of Oceans Alive working with on the Kenya coast and our passionate team focusses of Community based natural resource management. We are presently working on the 270 km of the Kilifi County coastline and are working with the various Beach Management Units to set up Collaborative Managed Areas or all . Our journey continues as we upscale from the first LMMA that we set up as Kuruwitu Conservation and Welfare CBO in 2006

I work for a marine science & conservation non-profit studying species and habitats in the Salish Sea and beyond. Much of our work involves looks at how anthropogenic impacts like vessel traffic and underwater noise change the behavior of threatened populations such as southern resident killer whales. Other topics we work on include cetacean distribution and habitat use, the estimated effects of deep sea mining, salmon preservation, and habitat restoration. I have skills in GIS, R, and ecological modeling. I am most interested in research involving spatial data, oceanography, and marine vertebrate behavior. I previously worked on field projects studying cetaceans in British Columbia and sea turtles in Costa Rica, the US, and Australia. I completed an MRes in Marine Biology at the University of Plymouth where I used density surface models to assess the distribution and abundance of harbour porpoises around the UK.

I'm a marine ecologist passionate about communication and engaging local communities in shifting towards environmental sustainability. Looking forward to expand my career from academia to work at a wildlife conservation organization. I believe the wildhub community is a good place to get inspired. PhD in Animal Science. Experience in teaching, advanced statistics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), sampling and identification of estuarine and marine fauna (plankton, macroinvertebrates and fish), stable isotope analysis and otolith microstructure. I enjoy working in an international environment where I can continuously learn and apply my broad set of skills ranging from research, teaching, communication, and languages.

I am Opeyemi Blessing OYAWALE, a first-class wildlife and ecotourism management graduate from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, fueled by a deep passion for wildlife research and conservation consultancy. My academic journey has been a quest to understand and contribute to the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. With a firm foundation in wildlife and ecotourism management, I am on a dedicated path towards becoming a wildlife researcher and consultant. Motivated by my curiosity to explore the complex lives of wildlife, I want to establish a name for myself as a researcher and provide accurate evaluation for conservation initiatives. In addition, my goal is to provide sustainable practice consultations that help close the gap between human activity and the health of the various ecosystems on our planet. I'm continually looking for scholarship opportunities to further my education overseas as part of my quest for excellence. By doing this, I hope to improve my perspectives on the world, my knowledge, and my abilities, positioning myself to have a bigger influence in the field of wildlife research and conservation. I am a marine biology graduate with an MSc in conservation from Plymouth Uni. I use to be the assistant community manager of WildHub and. have a passion for science communication and bringing people together. 🦇 In my spare time I have a blog as well as a Redbubble shop where I sell my artwork. I am a marine conservationist / biologist whose passion for the ocean has been since I was young. I have been involved in tagging and releasing  juvenile great whites and rescued stranded sea lions. Now, I am building a Young Ambassadors Program for individuals who are looking to create their own path for marine conservation. 

I want to find new ways to have a positive impact on the environment and communities around the world. How I do this is pretty open; I have wide-ranging interests (including the arts and spending time outside) and am willing to adapt to changing circumstances.  I'm volunteering for the WildHub community and am happy to answer questions about the platform and do what I can to help connect people.
