I am a conservationist based in Namibia, I work for Save the Rhino Trust which is a conservation NGO responsible for the monitoring of free-roaming black rhino on communal land. I have over 9 years of experience in community-led conservation in the north-west of Namibia.

As a graduate of Environmental Science, my background equips me with the requisite skills in hydrology, ecology, Wildlife Management, Environmental Impact Assessment among other fields. In my current role as an Assistant Environmentalist at Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), I have been actively involved in environmental monitoring and auditing, developing and implementing environmental management systems, and interpreting field requirements. My responsibilities also include generating environmental progress reports and ensuring compliance with environmental standards, which have equipped me with a solid understanding of field methods and diagnostic tools. I am also committed to professional excellence and continuous learning, as evidenced by my participation in several professional training programs, including workshops on Integrated Water Resources Management and GIS fundamentals. Formerly a homeschooling teacher in a remote game reserve, I now work across departments to spotlight untold stories, bridge cultures, and explore the emotional landscape of environmental work.

I’m Gaia, 27 years old, originally from Italy, and currently based in Sint Maarten. While my background is in wildlife conservation, I strongly believe that knowledge and information should be accessible and shared with people of all ages. This is why I focus much of my work on engaging young people in Sint Maarten. I’m also passionate about the power of behavioral change as a tool to address many of today’s environmental challenges. Abubakar Siddiqu With a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, I have a comprehensive understanding of animal biology, behavior, and ecology. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in the principles of zoology, including evolutionary biology, environmental science, and animal physiology. I am passionate about wildlife conservation and the study of animal interactions within their ecosystems. My studies have involved hands-on laboratory work, field research, and data analysis, which have honed my skills in scientific inquiry and critical thinking. I am adept at using various research methodologies to explore biological phenomena and contribute to meaningful scientific discussions. As a proactive learner and dedicated researcher, I am keen to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world challenges in zoology and conservation. Hi wild team my name is Cyprian Chisi, and I am excited to join this vibrant network of conservation professionals. I have just completed my BSc degree in Natural Resource Management (Wildlife & Ecotourism), from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, i also hold a Diploma in Environmental Management. i specialised in wildlife management, GIS and Remote sensing, Research,Biodiversity conservation, ornithology, ecosystem managment, watershed and wetland management, eco tourism planing, environmental education, population ecology and sustainable land mangement. I expect to connect with experts, professionals and mentors here at WildHub and this will help me to find more opportunities in conservation journey like partnerships, funding, scholarships, learning, internships and leadership development as well as job opportunities.  

I'm Liane, and I am a WildLearning Specialist at WildTeam! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! For the last few years, I've been working in Seychelles, focusing on island and marine conservation efforts, particularly coral restoration and turtle nesting monitoring. If you ask me questions about coral, be prepared for me to get very nerdy about it! Prior to that, I was managing a project in Northern Thailand, where I worked closely with a local community to set up ethical elephant experiences in their village. In my free time, I love running and hiking, and being anywhere in nature. I have also learnt to freedive in the last few years and enjoy doing that when possible. I'm really interested in talking to different people and learning from them and their unique experiences.

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022.
