About Me Hello everyone! I’m Dr Gilles Rolin Ananfack Kenfack, a passionate environmental advocate from Cameroon, dedicated to the sustainable management of our natural resources and the conservation of biodiversity. I hold a PhD in Integrated Management of Forest and Agroforestry Resources from the University of Dschang, where I also completed my Master’s in Natural Resource Management and Agroforestry. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, which laid the groundwork for my analytical approach to environmental issues. My Expertise With extensive experience in project management and community-driven initiatives, I specialize in integrated resource management, biodiversity conservation, and the restoration of degraded landscapes. As the founder and president of the Cameroonian Association for the Promotion of Bamboo, Environmental Protection, Nature Conservation, and Local Development (BambouCamer), I focus on promoting bamboo as a sustainable resource that can drive local development and enhance environmental conservation. My role as Director of Programs at the Community Association for Sustainable Development (CASuDev) involves coordinating various conservation and restoration projects, including efforts to protect the forest elephant population in the Campo Ma’an National Park and restoring degraded landscapes in Babadjou. I am also skilled in community mobilization, capacity building, technical report writing, and social and environmental impact assessments. Throughout my career, I have successfully collaborated with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to create sustainable and equitable solutions to pressing environmental challenges. My Interests I am particularly interested in agroforestry, the application of agroecological practices, and leveraging the potential of bamboo for environmental and economic sustainability. I am committed to advancing environmental sustainability and empowering communities, ensuring that development initiatives are both ecologically sound and socially just. I have a Master's in Maritime Resource Management and a Higher Specialized Diploma in Applied Oceanography from the University of Quebec at Rimouski. I recently worked as a marine ecosystems Coordinator at Novarium in Rimouski. I have experience in project management and animation of a marine innovation community. I have skills in project management, endangered species, and water resource management. I am also good at analyzing water resource policies. I want to help people understand marine ecosystems better and work with others in conservation. I look forward to talking with you and helping us achieve our goals!

I am a storyteller and conservation communicator based in Mozambique. With a background in psychology, political science, and education, I weave together human-centered narratives that reflect the complexities of conservation work on the ground. Formerly a homeschooling teacher in a remote game reserve, I now work across departments to spotlight untold stories, bridge cultures, and explore the emotional landscape of environmental work.

I am a wildlife conservationist with over three years of professional experience in developing and implementing communication, training, and outreach strategies for wildlife conservation. Currently serving as a Training and Education Officer at WCS, I lead and support educational programs, design training modules, and coordinate outreach efforts. My previous work as a Wildlife Biologist includes conducting biodiversity surveys, engaging local communities, and running awareness campaigns. With a strong academic background in Zoology (B.Sc.) and Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation (M.Sc.) and several research contributions, I specialize in biodiversity conservation, particularly marine and terrestrial wildlife. I have co-authored multiple scientific publications and received prestigious grants and fellowships for my research. I am also skilled in ArcGIS, R studio, SPSS, and data management tools, enhancing my ability to analyze and present conservation data effectively. My passion lies in bridging scientific research and community engagement for sustainable wildlife conservation.

Dr. Kakha Nadiradze appointed on the position of Chair of Commission on Ecosystems Management, CEM IUCN Eastern Regional Branch Chair for Eastern Europe. With more than 26 years of experience, Kakha Nadiradze has positioned himself in various management positions with the vision of promoting innovative and scientific development in Ecosystems Protection, Management, Climate Change and Biodiversity Conservation, Expert of Habitats, Protected Areas and Agrobiodiversity, Agroecology and Food Systems. He provides professional advisory/consulting/extension services to Government, Policy Makers, producers and agricultural companies around the world in the implementation of sustainable Food systems, comprehensive optimization of Agribusiness and evaluation of market opportunities. He is focused on promoting sustainable agriculture through soil conservation techniques, combating desertification and soils erosion, implementing regenerative agriculture methods, Gene Banking and in vitro and ex-situ conservation. Using in practice the Nature Based Solutions, NBS among others. He has published extensively in these areas, linking theory and practice to inform policymaking on food, agriculture, the environment, circularity and human well-being. He is a Member of the IUCN CEM (Commission on Ecosystem Management), Planta Europe, GODAN (Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition), BES-Net, (Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network), MBON (Marine Biodiversity Observation Network), The Research Data Alliance (RDA), The Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation — GFAR, GFRAS and Founder of EUFRAS, Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), The Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative (GSBI), the European Soil Data Centre and GEO BON – The Group on Earth Observations Biodiversity),and of the Think Tank organization Groupe de Bruges (Independent network and think tank on European agricultural and rural development policies, GdB). Kakha Nadiradze is a Task Force Member of the Global Genome Biodiversity Network, GGBN, Smithsonian Institute (US). Dr. Nadiradze has provided effective expertise in different local and international projects in Biodiversity Conservation, Ecological Restoration, management and monitoring by providing science-based planning strategies to protect and enhance native species, habitats, and ecosystems at global, regional, and local scales. He has received different Scholarships from ESBB.

I am an ecologist with a speciality in environmental education.  I work with students and communities. My joy us in transforming people's attitude towards wildlife and changing Human Wildlife Conflict to Coexistence.

I am deeply committed to empowering rural communities through education, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship. My expertise lies in public service, with over 15 years of experience across various sectors including education, health systems monitoring, and agriculture. 

I am a professor at the State University of Santa Cruz - Bahia - Brazil. As a veterinarian I work in the health context and lately I have admired the area of Unique Health, Ecosystem Health and Conservation Medicine. I am currently involved in research related to zoonotic diseases, including arboviruses, and also research in the area of animal welfare, biosafety and anesthesiology. In 2018, we founded the Wild Animal Care and Research Center (NAPAS), linked to the Veterinary Hospital of the University. In this space we are responsible for improving and maintaining the health status of wild animals in the southern region of the state of Bahia. We have a team made up of undergraduate and graduate students, in addition to specialists from the most varied areas of Veterinary Medicine.

I hold a postgraduate diploma from the University of Oxford, specializing in carnivore and human-wildlife research through WildCRU. My experience includes camera trapping and using AI for data analysis and species identification. I am actively seeking conservation job and research opportunities, as well as pursuing an MSc or PhD in conservation. I am passionate about becoming a conservation leader and am particularly interested in mentoring young people and women in the field.

Since 9 years,i'm working with the fim or NGO for the Conservation of the Biodiversity,trough the collect and monitoring of the great Ape in Guinea.   It's very happy to increase my knowledge with this community!

Hi wild team my name is Cyprian Chisi, and I am excited to join this vibrant network of conservation professionals. I have just completed my BSc degree in Natural Resource Management (Wildlife & Ecotourism), from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, i also hold a Diploma in Environmental Management. i specialised in wildlife management, GIS and Remote sensing, Research,Biodiversity conservation, ornithology, ecosystem managment, watershed and wetland management, eco tourism planing, environmental education, population ecology and sustainable land mangement. I expect to connect with experts, professionals and mentors here at WildHub and this will help me to find more opportunities in conservation journey like partnerships, funding, scholarships, learning, internships and leadership development as well as job opportunities.  

I am a dedicated marine and freshwater biologist currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on wildlife conservation and sustainable fishing practices. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in understanding the complexities of marine ecosystems and the challenges they face. I completed my MSc with a thesis on the West African Manatee (T. Senegalensis), where I investigated the mechanisms of bycatch through different gillnet configurations. This study not only mimicked the daily fishing activities of local fishers but also provided valuable insights into the interactions between manatees and fishing gear. My findings revealed new species involved in bycatch, as well as the primary causes of fish damage, ultimately suggesting the best gillnet configurations to minimize bycatch. In my PhD program, I am expanding my research to identify and map bycatch sites along the coast of Cameroon. My current projects include analyzing various pollutants found in sharks and rays, understanding the effects of these pollutants on the health and genetics of these species, and determining their age to better comprehend their life cycles and conservation needs. I am passionate about reducing bycatch and promoting sustainable fishing practices. As part of my conservation activities, I will be training local fishermen on best releasesing practices, which involve techniques to safely release life bycatch back into the water, and educating them on how to effectively use GPS technology to monitor and manage their fishing activities. I believe that community engagement is crucial for successful conservation efforts. I invite community members and local stakeholders to join me in these important initiatives. Together, we can work towards protecting our marine ecosystems and ensuring sustainable fishing for future generations. Thank you for your interest in my work!.
