am Iman Ebrahimi, a conservationist and the founder and CEO of AvayeBoom Bird Conservation Society, the first bird conservation NGO in central Iran. Over the past decade, I have led various projects focusing on bird conservation, wetland restoration, and community engagement. My interests include wetland and waterbird conservation, migratory bird monitoring, and engaging local communities in environmental stewardship. Through AvayeBoom, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with over 310 volunteers and conducting educational programs for thousands of people. I’m passionate about building partnerships, sharing knowledge, and learning from the global conservation community to protect biodiversity for future generations.

I am a biodiversity conservationist from Cameroon. I recently completed a Professional MSc in Biodiversity Conservation and Management from the University of Bamenda, Cameroon and I am currently pursuing a Conversion MSc in Wildlife Resource Management in the same University. I have been serving as a volunteer for Apiculture and Nature Conservation Organization where we engage communities around protected areas in the North West Region of Cameroon in alternative livelihood activities in order to reduce stress on biodiversity. With the ongoing socio-political conflict in Cameroon’s North West and South West Regions, it has made conservation activities in these regions difficult as forest reserves are now used as hideouts for the non-state armed groups (NSAGs) whose activities are posing threats to biodiversity in these areas. With this setback, I have been working as an independent researcher in Cameroon’s Eastern Region precisely in the Nki National Park which is considered as the “last true wilderness” in Cameroon with lots of biodiversity. My studies have concentrated on forest elephants: its dung decay rate, population status, feeding pattern, anthropogenic disturbances. Human-Elephant conflict is very prevalent in this park which warrants mitigation.

Trained in biology and anthropology, I have spent 20+ years in the non-profit sector. Passionate about social and environmental justice, my focus is on the intersection between conservation and community rights and wellbeing. As the co-director of Global Diversity Foundation, I have experience in organisational strategy development, fundraising and donor relations management, HR management and recruitment, financial oversight, operations, conflict resolution and mediation, non-profit governance, communications and dissemination, and event organisation. A highly skilled partnership-builder, relationship-manager and strategic thinker, I speak four languages and currently oversee a multicultural, multilocal team of 15.

I'm an agronomist by trade. I have done phytotechnics and I have some experience in entomology. Currently my passion for wild animals has led me to do a Master's degree in Planning and Management of Protected Areas. I'm particularly interested in spatial remote sensing and the restoration of wildlife habitats. 

I was born in Kenya and have lived i the UK for 42 years now. My many years of working with small businesses and running various events to raise the profile of the businesses, has landed me a post for fundraiser Trustee for a UK wildlife Hospital. The founders of the hospital are very seasoned friends of mine and their dedication to saving every wildlife animal bird that comes through their door, is simply inspirational.  Therefore, I want to learn more about writing funding applications and grant applications. I also want to share my experiences of what has worked for us and what has not. Hopefully, we can all become better at doing what we do, through skill sharing. 

I am a born and raised wildlife conservationist from birth, a student at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike, Abia state, Nigeria, I am deeply engaged in the study of forestry and environmental management. Additionally, I actively participate as a volunteer for the Nigerian Bird Atlas Project, a vital initiative led by the AP Leventis Ornithological Research Institute in Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria. Furthermore, I contribute my time and efforts as a volunteer at the Biodiversity Preservation Center in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. I’m Dr Gilles Rolin Ananfack Kenfack, a passionate environmental advocate from Cameroon, dedicated to the sustainable management of our natural resources and the conservation of biodiversity. I hold a PhD in Integrated Management of Forest and Agroforestry Resources from the University of Dschang, where I also completed my Master’s in Natural Resource Management and Agroforestry. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, which laid the groundwork for my analytical approach to environmental issues. My Expertise With extensive experience in project management and community-driven initiatives, I specialize in integrated resource management, biodiversity conservation, and the restoration of degraded landscapes. As the founder and president of the Cameroonian Association for the Promotion of Bamboo, Environmental Protection, Nature Conservation, and Local Development (BambouCamer), I focus on promoting bamboo as a sustainable resource that can drive local development and enhance environmental conservation. My role as Director of Programs at the Community Association for Sustainable Development (CASuDev) involves coordinating various conservation and restoration projects, including efforts to protect the forest elephant population in the Campo Ma’an National Park and restoring degraded landscapes in Babadjou. I am also skilled in community mobilization, capacity building, technical report writing, and social and environmental impact assessments. Throughout my career, I have successfully collaborated with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to create sustainable and equitable solutions to pressing environmental challenges. My Interests I am particularly interested in agroforestry, the application of agroecological practices, and leveraging the potential of bamboo for environmental and economic sustainability. Conservation scientist fascinating by all things nature. I have a particular interest in a multidisciplinary data science / machine learning approach to conservation.

I am an ecologist with a B.S. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I live in Watsonville, California in the United States (just south of Santa Cruz and San Francisco). I am currently searching for a job in western Oregon. The majority of my research experience is with small mammals from California, including mice from the genus Peromyscus. I completed a bachelor's thesis studying the range of the Santa Cruz kangaroo rat (Dipodomys venustus venustus). I worked for six months for the Resource Conservation District in California as a monitoring biologist on the Salinas River. We were working to control invasive Arundo donax plants and to control flooding by mowing overflow channels. I worked for nine months as a senior park aide for California State Parks in Santa Cruz County. I have some experience with ArcGIS from taking a university course, using it for my thesis, and using it to process data and produce maps for the Resource Conservation District. I am interested in gaining experience in 1) researching birds, mammals, and plants 2) land management such as ecosystem restoration and trail maintenance and 3) relevant computer software such as R Programming and QGIS. I am also interested in making connections with fellow ecologists in Oregon. I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, cooking, and making herbal forest tea. I also enjoy rock climbing and backpacking, although I am a newbie to both.

I am a multihyphenate working across environmental conservation and equity spaces, serving clients with program and project design and assessment, policy advocacy, strategy, communications, and thought partnership. Aganze Eliud is a results-oriented information management, GIS, GBVIMS, ICT4D, AI ,  and ICT expert with 10 years of experience leveraging geospatial technologies to address complex conservation and humanitarian issues across Africa. He possesses a strong background in geographic data management, from collection and analysis to processing and modeling using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and other relevant tools. As a skilled trainer and collaborator, he has a proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including UN agencies, donors, IUCN, WWF, Humanitarian, and numerous NGOs, to design and implement impactful projects involving database management, cartography, data visualization, and the integration of satellite imagery for applications such as carbon emission monitoring, biodiversity conservation, and humanitarian assessment.

Working in conservation was always my dream job! It took me a while to get there but fast forward some years and I was leading conservation programmes and teams around the world. During my time in that role I realised that I was both at risk of burnout and had become a little disconnected from the day-to-day conservation impact that I was passionate about. However, I loved developing, supporting and coaching the teams I managed and decided to re-train as a coach so that I could spend more time focusing on supporting others to excel in their role and remain passionate and effective within the conservation sector. I joined WildHub to stay up-to-date with the conservation world, share my experiences and support conservation professionals however I can.

I now work for the National Biodiversity Network Trust as Partnership Officer on the Better Biodiversity Data project, which aims to improve infrastructure and access to biodiversity data in Scotland.  I recently worked with WildTeam UK engaging conservationists with its training and resources, and supported WildTeam Bangladesh in their work on the conservation of the Sundarbans mangrove forest and Bengal tigers. I have previously co-ordinated conservation research for a UK-based woodland charity, completed a PhD on phenology in plants and trees that involved a lot of citizen science, and have done many short-term research and conservation jobs over the years.
