About Mrs Sushma Windsor
I was born in Kenya and have lived i the UK for 42 years now. My many years of working with small businesses and running various events to raise the profile of the businesses, has landed me a post for fundraiser Trustee for a UK wildlife Hospital. The founders of the hospital are very seasoned friends of mine and their dedication to saving every wildlife animal bird that comes through their door, is simply inspirational.
Therefore, I want to learn more about writing funding applications and grant applications. I also want to share my experiences of what has worked for us and what has not. Hopefully, we can all become better at doing what we do, through skill sharing.

Hi Mavuto,
Good to see a vital topic covered here with few examples. BTW, I love Vicar of Dibbly......
In my past work, meetings were never very productive, most of it could have been said in an email or ideally in person/ or for the department in charge. My current role as Volunteer Trustee and Funding Corordinator, I find meeeting are essential as we have to depend on our CEO to direct us what we need next etc.
My top tips- Keep them short, keep them to the point and add an element of fun/ engegement.
The tracker system needs to be implements in our charity, and I hope it will be accepted.
Many thanks for the article here and good to think of ways to improve our everyday tasks.
All the best,
Sushma
Looking forward to the earlier event today for networking.

What an inspiring interview with John Hartshorn? I recently attended a talk by Gareth Williams from Weald to Wave project, and it was about the very core that John mentions here in the interview. If I am not mistaken, they are all trying to connect the whole of UK through various regional projects like YRN, so that in 10-20 years we can all be part of something very meangful and impactful. Well done Ussi for the interview here.
Good to have shared this here. It is worth considering for so many areas in Africa as well. I can certainly think of Kenya and Tanzania national parks and Game reserves.
