It's wonderful to have you here. Your work with Lion Landscapes and your dedication to reducing human-carnivore conflicts are truly inspiring.
What have you found most rewarding in working with local communities and carnivore conservation so far?
We look forward to learning from your experiences and insights!
Thank you so much Amanda!
Yeah it gives me passion working with local community and carnivore conservation at once, All of the local communities have their reasons why they have negative attitudes towards wildlife conservation. But we give them reasons to conserve carnivores with it`s landscapes, we remind them the rules of the country where if a person found guilty there is penalty of money or going to jail where this concerning the government. We remind them concerning endangered species where big carnivores are on the list, also we influence them to love wildlife by showing night cinemas and take them to the National parks to near them for tourism, lastly we make sure they get benefits of wildlife through a program called Community Camera Traps (CCT+) where local community get materials they want like for pastoralist community they will order medicine and youth they will order sports materials and we give them Community health fund.
So for now many of community members understand why we all need to participate in conservation instead of using a lot of energy as we did before.
