Hello! My name is Christopher

I am an IT at Mbou-Mon-Tour, a local NGO under Congolese law based in Bolobo in the Mai-Ndombe province which has been working since 1997 in the community conservation of bonobo forests which are a flagship species of the region and endemic to the DRC.

I joined WildHub because I wanted to expand my conservation grant writing skills and share my conservation experiences and learn about others' experiences to help answer this global call to save wildlife.

As a computer scientist and wildlife conservationist by nature since our community draws its conservation habits from the Teke custom which has prohibited the consumption immemorial.

This because the latter are considered our cousins who buried themselves in the the forest because they could not pay their debt ; refusing to become slaves of their creditors, they took refuge in the forest.

Before the current emergency of wildlife scarcity, we have always been forward-thinking in our custom. The bonobo being the flagship species of the territory of Bolobo since it is only found in the DRC and in greatest density in Bolobo.
