I have been working for the last 3 years with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)- India in the eastern Himalayas. My interests and research fall in an interdisciplinary field of ecology and social sciences. My interests are particularly in community based conservation approaches, understanding social-ecological systems and the role of Traditional ecological knowledge in conservation.

By attending this SDWC course, I look forward to having a more structured approach in planning and executing my upcoming project on Snow leopards for better conservation impact. I also look forward to developing these set of skills to advance my journey in Conservation.

I enjoy cooking, singing and hiking!

See you all this upcoming live session :)

Hello Janaki, welcome. That sounds like a very interesting job, I enjoy reading about traditional ecological knowledge, I also love snow leopards (who doesn't?!) and studied them for my undergraduate dissertation (just a desk-based study). Look forward to chatting more in the live sessions.
