Greetings,

My name is Leslie Fatuma Bayanza, and I'm from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). I recently finished my undergraduate studies in Global Challenges, focusing on wildlife conservation at the African Leadership University in Rwanda. My dedication to conservation finds its roots in my initial professional exposure through a summer internship with a conservation organization. This experience ignited my passion and fueled my commitment to the cause. In addition to my academic pursuits, I've initiated a youth-led project focusing on environmental education in Goma, Eastern DRC.

I'm excited to be part of the Wildhub community as I see it as an excellent platform to both learn and share knowledge about conservation and build meaningful connections.

This community is an excellent opportunity for me to achieve my career aspirations in conservation education and community-based initiatives. It will contribute significantly to my professional growth.

I look forward to engaging with all of you and sharing our collective enthusiasm for conservation.

A warm WildHub welcome to you, good to have you join us Leslie. Could you share with us your light bulb moments as an intern?

Welcome to WildHub, Leslie! How did you find out about our community, if I may ask?

Perhaps of interest to you is the opportunity to join our WildHub Conservation Catalyst programme; quite a few of our early career members have benefitted from participating. More information about that here and also feel free to email me about it on hello@wildhub.community :)
