Hi, I'm Martin Ononyume. I'm a researcher and teacher at the University of Calabar, Nigeria where I teach modules in Ecology and Botany. Seven years and counting on the fantastic journey of academia where I guide and mentor young people to become better than I am. My research is focused on the role of tropical forests (rainforests and mangroves) and agroecosystems in climate change mitigation through carbon sequestration.

I love to take long walks when I'm not teaching or studying, especially in tree-shaded areas (calms and soothes).

I am confident that this course will allow me to gain invaluable knowledge in grant writing and give me a chance to meet and network with great minds along the way.
