About Martin Ononyume

I'm a researcher and teacher at the University of Calabar, Nigeria where I teach modules in Ecology and Botany. Seven years and counting on the fantastic journey of academia where I guide and mentor young people to become better than I am. My research is focused on the role of tropical forests (rainforests and mangroves) and agroecosystems in climate change mitigation through carbon sequestration.

Thanks Thirza, I'm glad to be here and thrilled to be a part of the Grant Writing for Wildlife Conservation Training (Gwac, Gwac). We had the first live session for our cohort yesterday and it was amazing e-meeting Lea our instructor and other participants.
