Psychologist Kelly McGonigal said, “Stress is what arises when something you care about is at stake.” This is especially true for leaders like you, who care deeply about fighting climate change and biodiversity loss.

Environmental and conservation leaders often wear many hats, juggle heavy workloads, and face constant pressure to do more with less. This can lead to high stress and burnout and is made worse by eco-anxiety (fear of environmental doom) and compassion fatigue.

Stress impacts more than just your focus and productivity—it can also take a toll on your physical and mental well-being.

When you manage stress proactively, you gain clarity and calm, make better decisions, resolve conflicts, and adapt to change without burning out. By modeling stress management, you also set an example and create a healthier and happier workplace for your team.

Stress management is a skill you can develop, and we’re here to guide you.

Our new Master Stress for Success workshop is designed to help you identify your sources of stress, understand their impact, and practice techniques to manage them effectively. You’ll walk away with actionable tools and a personalized coping plan you can start using right away in your daily life.
