This Thursday at 18:00, UK Youth for Nature are running a FREE webinar where we will be hosting An Interview with Professor Michael Eddleston, an expert in the impacts of pesticides on health as well as their regulation. Register for free here.

Michael Eddleston is a Professor of Clinical Toxicology at the University of Edinburgh, an Honorary Consultant at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and Clinical Lead for the UK's National Poisons Information Service. His medical journey began at Cambridge and Oxford, with a PhD at Scripps Research Institute. Fascinated by self-poisoning, he spent a year in Sri Lanka during medical school, conducting a clinical trial and co-authoring the Oxford Handbook of Tropical Medicine. Later, as a Wellcome Trust fellow, he returned to Sri Lanka before completing specialist training in Edinburgh. Now, he leads research to prevent poisoning deaths worldwide and treat patients in Edinburgh’s toxicology ward.

In an era where pesticides are more controversial than ever, talking with one of the world's foremost experts on their impacts is an event not to be missed! Tickets are free and can be booked here.

UK Youth for Nature is the leading UK youth movement calling for urgent action on the nature crisis. This webinar is run by and aimed at young people, but everyone is very welcome to attend.
