Dear network,
I have exciting news! UNEP launched the applications for Young Champions of the Earth 2024 on Tuesday 27 February. Young Champions of the Earth receive $20,000 in seed-funding, a tailored mentorship journey and publicity and recognition through a large network of global news and media.
This year's Young Champions has a bigger focus on biodiversity and ecosystem restoration, and we would therefore kindly invite you to share the call in your direct networks, on your channels and perhaps think about individuals you could encourage to apply! If you are a young person working on a project that helps fight the triple planetary crisis in any way, we also highly motivate you to apply.
The application period will be open from 27 February to 5 April. We would hugely appreciate your help in sharing the call for applications! We have assembled all assets on https://trello.com/b/hB55R39p/ young-champions-of-the-earth- launch-2024. Please link the website: unep.org/youngchampions and use #youngchamps so that we can track and interact with your post.
In order to help optimize applications, we are hosting #YoungChamps informative sessions scheduled for Tuesday March 19th at 6 AM GMT and 4 PM GMT. These sessions aim to provide comprehensive insights into the UNEP Young Champions of the Earth Award for 2024. Participants will gain valuable knowledge about the program, the eligibility criteria, and the application process. Our dedicated UNEP team will be available to address any inquiries you may have. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to hear from a past recipient of the award, who will share valuable insights on perfecting your application.
