Damas has MSc in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Water Resources and Environment Management from University of Twenty in Netherlands, is a well-trained Civil & Water Resources Engineer and Environment Expert. his expertise lies in areas of Hydrological Modeling, WASH, community-based natural resources management, institutional strengthening, GIS and Remote Sensing, governance, Integrated Water Resources Management, Climate Change, Environmental Impact Assessment, Payment for Ecosystem Services, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Development of Land use and Forest Management plans, Stakeholders engagement in development process and Resources mobilization, Forest Landscape Restoration, Wetland mapping and monitoring, Project Monitoring and Evaluation and Design of hydro-meteorological monitoring stations. He possesses 12 years of progressive practical experience in the Water and Conservation sector in Tanzania. He has hands-on experience in planning, designing, managing, and executing Water Resources Management Projects as well as Conservation Programs. Hi, I'm Paul Chinyama a dedicated conservationist with a profound love for nature and a strong commitment to preserving biodiversity. My journey in conservation began with my passion for exploring wildlife, which has since evolved into a career focused on habitat restoration and species protection. With over four years of experience and a Bachelor of science in wildlife conservation and natural resource management, I have developed expertise in designing and implementing effective conservation programs. My work at African Parks leads me to a significant increase in native bird populations through habitat restoration efforts. I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to preserve wildlife and continue making a positive impact on the environment.

Mr. Paudel currently serves as a senior program manager at Bird Conservation Nepal. He has over fourteen years of experience in bird and biodiversity conservation, fundraising, project planning and implementation, and engaging with local communities to safeguard threatened bird species.

As a dedicated ecologist, waste manager, and circular economy advocate, I'm driven to catalyze positive change in biodiversity preservation and climate crisis mitigation. With expertise spanning conservation science and circular economy practices, I recognize their integral role in addressing environmental degradation and fostering sustainable peace. The BioversNG Workshop empowered me with invaluable insights and skills over six transformative weeks, enabling me to contribute more effectively to protecting Nigeria's rich biodiversity. Now, as the Operations Room Assistant with WCS Nigeria at Yankari Game Reserve, I'm excited to leverage this knowledge and experience in a practical and impactful way. Combining hands-on fieldwork experience with ecological principles and waste management strategies, I champion climate action and promote peace initiatives. As co-founder of the Ecology Students Forum at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, I facilitate meaningful discussions advancing ecological knowledge and exploring ways to leverage insights for broader climate resilience and peace-building endeavors. My goal is to bridge the gap between conservation, circular economy practices, climate action, and peace advocacy by fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and promoting dialogue that acknowledges the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability, peace, and global well-being. In my new role with WCS Nigeria, I'm committed to furthering these objectives and contributing to the vital mission of wildlife conservation.

My background is mainly in species conservation, education and capacity exchange. I researched mother-young interactions in gorillas and chimpanzees, in captivity and the wild. After that, I worked for three years in Indonesia, where I developed and implemented youth ambassador and community engagement programmes on local and regional scales. I co-founded WildHub, a community of nature conservation professionals, in 2020 and work as their Community Lead. I am furthermore on the Advisory Board of the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent where I obtained my PhD on capacity development for conservation in 2022. 

Since July 2025, I have been serving as the Community Advocates Coordinator at WildHub, where I coordinate initiatives to engage, support, and empower our community advocates in advancing WH’s mission. Beyond WildHub, I wear a few different hats. I work as a researcher and lecturer in Sweden, teaching courses on environmental law, political and historical ecology, and disaster risk management. I also mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, collaborate with faculty members, and contribute to ongoing research projects. I’m passionate about giving back through volunteer work. I support a few conservation and animal welfare organisations with research and advocacy to help drive positive change. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking forest trails with my dog or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

I'm ANDRIANARIVELO Miora Henintsoa, ​​Master Degree's in Environmental Management, Consultant (Reshearcher) in the field of Animal and Plant Conservation, Natural Resources Management.

I am a volunteer of one of the Wildlife Trust branches' local action youth forum, and in 2023 I worked as an Education and Community Engagement Officer for one of their local nature reserves, as part of a paid internship. I love wildlife and am deeply interested in helping people connect to nature for conservation and well-being. I seek a future role in the conservation and wildlife sector, and as grant writing is a vital skill for this sector, I decided to sign up to WildTeam for the Grant Writing for Wildlife Conservation course. I enjoyed the course so much, that I am continuing with the WildTeam's courses, starting with Project Planning for Wildlife Conservation.  I am currently finishing my viva corrections edits for my MSc Research degree in Biological Sciences at Bangor University, where I am researching variation in the vertebral column of rhesus macaques. I love primates, my favourite being lemurs, and I hope to see them someday in Madagascar. I also love writing and hope to publish a novel one day. My preferred writing genres are fantasy and sci-fi (with a little nature thrown in too).

I’m Dr Gilles Rolin Ananfack Kenfack, a passionate environmental advocate from Cameroon, dedicated to the sustainable management of our natural resources and the conservation of biodiversity. I hold a PhD in Integrated Management of Forest and Agroforestry Resources from the University of Dschang, where I also completed my Master’s in Natural Resource Management and Agroforestry. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, which laid the groundwork for my analytical approach to environmental issues. My Expertise With extensive experience in project management and community-driven initiatives, I specialize in integrated resource management, biodiversity conservation, and the restoration of degraded landscapes. As the founder and president of the Cameroonian Association for the Promotion of Bamboo, Environmental Protection, Nature Conservation, and Local Development (BambouCamer), I focus on promoting bamboo as a sustainable resource that can drive local development and enhance environmental conservation. My role as Director of Programs at the Community Association for Sustainable Development (CASuDev) involves coordinating various conservation and restoration projects, including efforts to protect the forest elephant population in the Campo Ma’an National Park and restoring degraded landscapes in Babadjou. I am also skilled in community mobilization, capacity building, technical report writing, and social and environmental impact assessments. Throughout my career, I have successfully collaborated with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to create sustainable and equitable solutions to pressing environmental challenges. My Interests I am particularly interested in agroforestry, the application of agroecological practices, and leveraging the potential of bamboo for environmental and economic sustainability. I am committed to advancing environmental sustainability and empowering communities, ensuring that development initiatives are both ecologically sound and socially just. I am a dedicated marine and freshwater biologist currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on wildlife conservation and sustainable fishing practices. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in understanding the complexities of marine ecosystems and the challenges they face. I completed my MSc with a thesis on the West African Manatee (T. Senegalensis), where I investigated the mechanisms of bycatch through different gillnet configurations. This study not only mimicked the daily fishing activities of local fishers but also provided valuable insights into the interactions between manatees and fishing gear. My findings revealed new species involved in bycatch, as well as the primary causes of fish damage, ultimately suggesting the best gillnet configurations to minimize bycatch. In my PhD program, I am expanding my research to identify and map bycatch sites along the coast of Cameroon. My current projects include analyzing various pollutants found in sharks and rays, understanding the effects of these pollutants on the health and genetics of these species, and determining their age to better comprehend their life cycles and conservation needs. I am passionate about reducing bycatch and promoting sustainable fishing practices. As part of my conservation activities, I will be training local fishermen on best releasesing practices, which involve techniques to safely release life bycatch back into the water, and educating them on how to effectively use GPS technology to monitor and manage their fishing activities. I believe that community engagement is crucial for successful conservation efforts. I invite community members and local stakeholders to join me in these important initiatives. I am passionate about wildlife conservation and the study of animal interactions within their ecosystems. My studies have involved hands-on laboratory work, field research, and data analysis, which have honed my skills in scientific inquiry and critical thinking. I'm a member of the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication (CEC) and Expert in Environment and  Natural Resource Conservation through Communication, Education, Participation and Awareness Creation (C.E.P.A) Programs I teach individuals and school communities on the importance of conserving, preserving and protecting natural resources, biodiversity, and ecosystems.
