I’ve been at ranger at Lee Valley Regional Park for five years managing a range of parklands and many of which are important wildlife conservation areas. My first involvement in practical conservation was with Kent Wildlife Trust where I completed a traineeship working on its Roadside Nature Reserves project and then later working full time as their Water for Wildlife Project Officer. I’m a keen botanist and love to share my experiences and passion for the natural world with others.

I am a biologist and work as a mammals expert and project manager (interested more in large carnivores research and conservation, such as brown bear, wolf, and Balkan lynx) at PPNEA NGO, in Albania. I have experience in monitoring and researching endangered species such as the Balkan lynx. Since 2015, I am coordinating the Balkan Lynx Recovery Programme in Albania. Also, in 2021,  I completed the MAVA Leaders for Nature Academy.

Professional with knowledge of the business environment, social responsibility / third sector, and education in Brazil and Latin America, especially in the aspects of institutional management, market intelligence, network development, has a degree in social communication and public administration. He obtained his specialization, masters, and a doctorate in these areas, and the international diploma GUDS / Urban Management and Sustainable Development (by the World Bank / UN-ECLAC / MINURVI / Italian Coop) In 2001. Has a solid background in Social Program Management, Strategic Planning, BSC, Participatory Appraisal, Project Logical Framework, Resource Mobilization, and Fundraising (by The Resource Alliance) held in Brazil and abroad.

My conservation career started in 1992 when I helped set up and joined a University expedition to the Bolivian Amazon. What started out as a 3-month experience ended up being a life-changing inflection point that set my professional and personal course to the present day. My conservation experience was built bottom-up and hands-on, and includes field data collection and logistics, grassroots organization leadership and project management, community engagement and capacity building, M&E, training and behavior change, and lately climate education through authorship of graphic novels and other resources.

I work in the field, from ethnozological surveys and awareness campaigns for the preservation of ecosystems, through the inventory and ecological monitoring of different zoological groups to the installation of camera traps.

My journey towards environmental and social progress has been rich and diverse. I previously contributed to the Tanzania Development Trust as a mapper, utilizing geographical data to support development initiatives. Additionally, my commitment to global betterment led me to join the United Nations Volunteers program in 2016, where I've continued to make a meaningful impact.

I help run a UK charity that builds the capacity of conservationists to plan, implement, monitor, and report on their work. I also have a fair bit of experience in tiger and sea turtle conservation.
