Hello! I'm Léa and I'm a WildLearning Specialist with WildTeam UK. I help create, design and deliver training courses. I love getting to know all the participants and learning from them :) Previously, I was working with BirdLife International on forest governance issues and in my previous life I worked in the development sector in the United States. Education-wise, I have studied economic development, international relations as well as tropical forestry in the past.  Hope to catch you in a WildHub social!

Hello everyone, I'm delighted to be part of this community. My name is Romance HOUNKPATIN and I'm originally from Benin. I'm passionate about socioeconomic and sustainable development, which cannot be achieved without a sound understanding and rational management of our natural resources. This is one of the reasons I'm taking this course. I work in project management, particularly social projects, and I'm deeply committed to inclusion, social justice, education, and any initiative that contributes to strengthening human dignity for all and developing the resilience and growth of individuals and communities.

I have a deep passion for nature and wildlife, and I have always felt connected to nature. After achieving my degree in biological sciences at the university of Buenos Aires (Argentina), I applied for a graduate position at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council Argentina (CONICET), in collaboration with the National University of Jujuy (northwestern Argentina), where I study mammals using camera trapping. 

My name is Rebecca, a dynamic and purpose-drivendevelopment practitioner with a strong commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable growth. Rooted in a passion for social equity, I have devoted my career to working with diverse and underserved communities empowering individuals to unlock their potential and become agents of change in society. I am the Founder and Executive Director of Cheerful Hands Initiative (CHI), a non-governmental organization I established in 2019 to champion the rights and development of girls, women, youths, the elderly, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Prior to this, I served as the Coordinator of the YALI Network Benue (2020–2024), where I led strategic initiatives to build youth leadership, civic responsibility, and innovation across the state. Through CHI and other community-based platforms, I have led several transformative initiatives in the areas of education, environmental sustainability, health, mental health awareness, gender-based violence prevention, women’s empowerment, and human rights advocacy. My leadership style combines strategic vision with a deeply collaborative approach, allowing me to build and sustain partnerships with government institutions, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders for meaningful impact and currently working with Centre for Conservation Science and Practice (CCSP).

I am a WildLearning Specialist at WildTeam with a PhD in Conservation Biology.

I not so recently obtained my Master’s in Wildlife Management Engineering and have entered the workforce in an entry level position. Currently working as an environmental education intern for the only national zoological garden in South Africa. I am looking for new opportunities to gain skills and knowledge that will enable me to be successful and an asset in whichever organisation or company (within wildlife conservation) that I collaborate with or join. I look forward to gaining and building great partnerships in this community. 

I'm an organized and enthusiastic professional with a background in administration, customer service, and events coordination. I'm passionate about supporting impactful work behind the scenes, continuously learning, and connecting with others who care about making a difference. Currently exploring ways to merge my skills with conservation- focused initiatives.

The opportunity to travel and grow up internationally instilled in me a passion for wildlife and connecting people to nature. I decided very early on that I wanted to pursue a career in conservation, and have undertaken a BSc in Applied Zoology and an MSc in Endangered Species Recovery and Conservation. While at university, I was able to build a range of skills, including conducting surveys, species monitoring, and using GIS. Moreover, I discovered a love of research and how projects are planned and executed efficiently. I have worked in various roles since graduating from university, including as an Assistant Ecologist. Currently, I work as part of a forest school, where children are encouraged to spend time in nature and their passions are fostered. I am undertaking this course to broaden my experience and understanding of project management, helping me set up future projects aimed at connecting people to the world they live in and empowering communities to be part of positive change.

Aspiring Wildlife Biologist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human-Animal Interactions. Passionate and self-motivated with a strong commitment to nature conservation and sustainable practices. Experienced in fieldwork, research, and reporting, with a proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Organized, dependable, and adaptable—able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. Also brings valuable experience from the service industry, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, communication, and professionalism in fast-paced environments. Eager to grow professionally and explore diverse career paths in wildlife conservation and environmental research.
