Alexia Barrera Hernandez

Professor, Universidad del Salvador

Hey! I'm Alexia, from Argentina, and I'm currently looking to network with other wildlife lovers, learn from their experiences and capacities, and further nurture my knowledge of conservation.  I'm currently finishing my Master's thesis in Biodiversity Conservation, which is focused on how plastic pollution is impacting coastal ecosystems. I have experience in research, partnerships and alliances, teaching a wide range of audiences, and leading different environmental-related projects. I have a keen interest in ocean conservation. Thus, I intend to shift my professional career toward that area. For this, I have completed marine conservation courses and fulfilled the scuba diving certifications of Divemaster and Scientific Diver. Any suggestions on other courses or capacities that are necessary to fulfill my purpose will be most welcome. I can't wait to meet you all. ;)

I am a Science Communicator with a big passion for connecting people back to their inner-child's wonder for wildlife. I believe that everyone deep-down has a love for animals, and I want to help them find it! My skills include content creation, brand strategy, short-form video production, social media marketing, and visual storytelling. Motivating my growth in all these skills is my passion for what I do. Long story short, I love animals and I love talking about them! I enjoy working with conservation organizations to expand their reach and impact through Reels, carousels, TikToks, email marketing, and print designs.
