Marvelous Chilufya is a passionate environmentalist and climate change advocate with a deep-rooted commitment to safeguarding our planet. Hello ,My name is Iradukunda Ambrose am from south Western in kigezi region kanungu district, along the last mile communities of Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi impenetrable forest! We also have refugee villages of people from DRC and indigenous tribes of Batwa and Banyabutumbi. I’m Natalie Kasera, an executive assistant at Athena and a science graduate whose childhood afternoons tending my grandfather’s goats and cows on our family farm first taught me that every animal, no matter how humble, deserves compassionate care. At the Kenya Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, I spent weekends suturing wounds on stray dogs and leading youth workshops, realizing that healing often begins with small, everyday acts of kindness. That same spirit guided me to WildNow Foundation, where I spearheaded the Pandamiti Initiative, mobilizing and leading a cross‐functional team of 15 volunteers to plant over 250,000 native trees across five Kenyan counties, laying the groundwork toward the 1 million‑tree national goal. Now, alongside my role at Athena, I’m deepening my impact by studying project planning for wildlife conservation. I’m weaving together clinical rigor, community trust, and strategic tools  (GANTT charts, stakeholder mapping, logical frameworks) to build initiatives that safeguard Kenya’s biodiversity and strengthen human–wildlife coexistence. Whether it’s partnering with rangers to deliver emergency wildlife care or co‑creating disease‑prevention workshops in Samburu, my journey is about translating passion into projects that endure. I’m excited to be part of this WildHub community and these courses, and I look forward to connecting with others who share a deep commitment to safeguarding our planet’s biodiversity.

Conservation

I am a field-based conservationist and researcher with over twelve years of experience. Have researched in the international environment more frequently in the People's Republic of China and Tanzania. Currently I work as a research manager with Six Rivers Africa, and NGO dedicated to understand, protect and promote biodiversity in the wetlands and the then hunting areas. Currently we work in the Nyerere National Park (The largest in Tanzania and Africa at large) and in Ruaha National Park (second largest in Tanzania).  I also had the privilege to research in HANMA National Nature Reserve, and  many others in China.

Passionate about biodiversity conservation, I work in Chinese pangolin and freshwater turtle research, wildlife ecology, and GIS-based analysis. As a Wildlife Biologist at the Creative Conservation Alliance, I work on conservation initiatives to protect endangered species and their habitats in Bangladesh.

Hello everyone 🤗, I am Abomo Marthe Phannel, I am a passionate and results-driven young conservationist with a Master's degree in Natural Resources Management and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Geography. With over two years of hands-on experience in the field, I have contributed to climate action and biodiversity conservation projects across Cameroon. My areas of expertise include wildlife identification, ecotourism, community engagement, stakeholder engagement, program coordination, and partnership development. I had the opportunity to work with reputable organizations like the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), where I contributed to species monitoring through advanced tools like camera traps, acoustics sensors and GIS mapping. I am currently working with African Voices for African Forests, where I am in charge of strategic partnerships and the organization of impactful networking events. Bilingual in French and English, and proficient in digital tools, I am committed to advancing environmental sustainability through inclusive and collaborative approaches.

For the last 8 years I have been involved in planning for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services, ecological restoration and monitoring of flora and fauna throughout Chile and Europe. The last time I have dedicated to expand my knowledge in ecology towards aquatic ecosystems, acquiring tools in scientific diving, coastal planning and bioacoustics.

My name is Fidèle KASANGANDJO MWAGALWA, a Congolese national, passionate about environmental conservation and the sustainable management of natural resources. I am an experienced and committed environmental analyst with over five years of experience in ecological monitoring and anti-poaching operations across Africa. Over the course of my career, I have developed strong expertise in analyzing ecological dynamics and using advanced tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies. 💼 Most recently, I served as an Environmental Monitoring Analyst at African Parks Congo, where I played a key role in producing strategic reports to guide ranger patrol operations. I also conducted operational analyses to assess the impacts of human activities on biodiversity, supervised aerial surveillance missions, and studied poaching trends—contributing to the preservation of wildlife in Garamba National Park. 🔍 Previously, I worked as a researcher at the Congo Basin Water Resources Research Center, where I led projects focused on water resource analysis and hydrological modeling. My work provided strategic insights for the sustainable development of local territories. My ability to collect, process, and analyze complex data, combined with my skills in supervision and project management, enabled me to contribute to impactful initiatives such as projects related to the Climate-Water-Migration nexus. 🌱 Today, I am open to new opportunities and collaborations in environmental management, sustainable development, and natural resource analysis. Damas has MSc in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Water Resources and Environment Management from University of Twenty in Netherlands, is a well-trained Civil & Water Resources Engineer and Environment Expert. his expertise lies in areas of Hydrological Modeling, WASH, community-based natural resources management, institutional strengthening, GIS and Remote Sensing, governance, Integrated Water Resources Management, Climate Change, Environmental Impact Assessment, Payment for Ecosystem Services, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Development of Land use and Forest Management plans, Stakeholders engagement in development process and Resources mobilization, Forest Landscape Restoration, Wetland mapping and monitoring, Project Monitoring and Evaluation and Design of hydro-meteorological monitoring stations. He possesses 12 years of progressive practical experience in the Water and Conservation sector in Tanzania. He has hands-on experience in planning, designing, managing, and executing Water Resources Management Projects as well as Conservation Programs. Damas has worked with various organizations including the Ministry of Water in Tanzania as Hydrologist he was involved in the development of Integrated Water Resources Development and Management Plan (IWRMDP) of the Lake Nyasa Basin Water Board, Songwe River Basin Management Plan (SRBMP), He has also been working with African Wildlife Foundation (AWF-International Conservation Organization) coordinating water resources management programs, and he is currently working with WWF as Program Executant WASH and IWRM. He is mainly responsible with coordination and delivery of Mara River Catchment Conservation (MRC) Project (USAID funded Project) and Mara Wetland Conservation Project (WetCoP) in the Serengeti - Mara sub-landscape of the Southern Kenya – Northern Tanzania (SOKNOT) Landscape.
