Searching for Supervisors!
Hello Everyone!Thank you Thirza Loffeld for this opportunity to join great community.
This is Misbah from Pakistan. I’ve done Mphil Wildlife and now looking for PhD supervisors who may grant me an acceptance letter or a project I may join.
I have great experience working with MPCEN, WWF and ALPS. I’ve worked almost all over Pakistan for wildlife conservation, done surveys, awareness sessions with educational institutes and community , worked on HWC, illegal trade with Pakistan Wildlife police, helped pupil do research surveys, etc. My research proposal is titled as "Moon Light Intensity Effect on wildlife’s Behavior." Which may be a koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) (if done in Australia) and red squirrels (Sciurus vulgaris) (if done in UK or else where) This study aims to explore how variations in lunar light intensity influences the activity patterns of target species, particularly their different behaviours.
Proposal Overview:Objectives:-Assess variations in activity patterns under different lunar light intensities.-Examine the relationship between moonlight intensity and behavioral distribution across lunar phases.-Light pollution affecting lunar activity, ultimately disrupting natural behaviors in species relying on the Moon's light.
Methodology:I plan to conduct field observations using motion-triggered infrared camera traps at eight selected sites. Data will be collected biweekly over a year, including behavioral documentation and habitat use analysis.I would like to pursue my knowledge and expand it with guidance. I believe It would be an amazing experience if I may have an opportunity to research under a prestigious supervision.
If anyone’s interested, we may set up a zoom session where we can discuss the way forward. Along with my proposal I would share my CV. Moreover, I’m open to other projects or positions as well.
Thank you for your time everyone! Hope to hear from you all.
